Kate Middleton stuns in nautical stripes and white shorts before sailing with Team GBR in a wetsuit
Kate Middleton was pictured wearing stripes and white shorts recently during a visit to the 1851 Trust and the Great Britain SailGP Team. During the visit in Plymouth, the Duchess Of Cambridge took part in activities aimed at guiding young people about sustainability. Kate opted a navy and white striped jumper matched with white shorts for her day sailing. She matched the casual outfit with white pumps and her beautiful engagement ring along with gold hoop earrings.
In a quick change of outfit, the duchess suited up in the official GBR wetsuit and gray cap. She then joined Sir Ben Ainslie, the most successful sailor in Olympic history, and the rest of the Great Britain crew.

Kate, who is taking time out over the summer to spend some time with children, completed her look with her signature dark hair down in a wavy blow dry and she was all smiles as she was papped at the event.
The Duchess was also pictured with Sir Ben Ainslie CBE, a British competitive sailor, as she visited the 1851 Trust and the Great Britain SailGP Team. Sir Ben Ainslie has won medals at five consecutive Olympics from 1996 onwards, including gold at four back-to-back Games between 2000 and 2012.
This has been quite a busy year for Kate and her husband Prince William, who have been attending more official engagements, tours and public appearances than before as the Queen steps down from her royal duties. Despite Kate's visit to Plymouth over the weekend, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are eager to spend some time away from the public eye in the upcoming weeks. The couple will be taking the summer off to spend some time with their children, George, Charlotte and Louis.
Meanwhile, the couple's eldest children, eight-year-old George and his sister Charlotte, seven, recently completed their studies at Thomas’ Battersea, and have a two-month break before they join their new school. Meanwhile, the younger one, four year old Louis’ nursery school, finished just days earlier.
This summer is a particularly significant one for Kate and William, as they prepare their young brood for their forthcoming move from Kensington Palace to the Windsor Estate in the autumn. According to royal expert Katie Nicholl, it’s quite possible that William and Kate will be leaving their Norfolk residence, Anmer Hall, for much of this period.
Kate 'taught William and children to sail'
Nicholl, while speaking to OK! said, “I expect that we’ll see them spending time at Norfolk because that’s what they do every year,” adding that, “they’ve always enjoyed their ‘bucket and spade’ days on the beach together and are partial to a sailing trip.
Nicholl continued, "Kate taught William and all of the little ones to sail, so I imagine they’ll be practising. The children can run freely in the huge wide open spaces and they can enjoy picnics with the various friends the Cambridge’s have down there." The royal expert believes this time will provide a much needed relief for the family. She said, “So, I think even though their brand-new life in Windsor is about to begin, their summer on the coast will provide a sense of normality.”
