The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, has not attended any royal events with her husband Prince William, ever since her last public presence at Wimbledon last month. While Prince William attended the 100th anniversary of the First World War Battle of Amiens, the Duchess was nowhere to be seen with him. The Duke of Cambridge also made several tours to the Middle East last month visiting Jordan, Israel, and the Palestinian territories without the Duchess.

Kate has also been in a dilemma if she should attend Princess Eugene's wedding as her sister Pippa Middleton is expected to give birth to her first child. As Pippa wrote for a column in Waitrose Weekend magazine via Express, she mentioned that she is in her first trimester now which means that Kate might have to skip the wedding to take care of her sister. Probably it will be a sad affair for the wedding since Pippa was Kate's maid of honor at her wedding in 2011. However, Kate also has her own duty to take over since she is already on a maternity leave for six months.

Kate was supposed to go on a leave after giving birth to Prince Louis. If her pregnancy had delayed she probably would have skipped her brother-in-law's wedding ceremony, and Kensington Palace would have re-evaluated her schedule. William and Kate have been thankful for their family's support, specifically their nanny Maria Theresa Borrallo who has been helping the royal couple raise their children as they juggled between royal obligations and parental work. Kate and William will probably hire a second nanny since the family is already growing.

As ABC reported, Kate is expected to return to her royal duties after six months. On her return, she will probably help Markle as she joins the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry. Kate had earlier canceled an event during her pregnancy since she was suffering from severe morning sickness. However, she managed to resume her royal engagements then and had also walked the red carpet at the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA). She had attended the Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey earlier this month, which also marked Markle's first official engagement since spending Christmas with Queen Elizabeth and the royal family.

Kate and William are already parents to two children- four-year-old Prince George and two-year-old Princess Charlotte. Kate gave birth to Louis on April 23, in St. Mary's Hospital in London, and he is the fifth in line for the throne. While people had speculated on the names Arthur and Albert, the Duke and Duchess stuck with Louis which also appears in Prince George and William's full names: George Alexander Louis and William Arthur Philip Louis.
