Kate Middleton wows in floral Michael Kors dress and blonder hair as she steps out for Princess Charlotte's first day of school
The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, dropped her daughter, four-year-old Princess Charlotte to her first day at school on September 5. The 37-year-old mother-of-three looked flawless as she recycled a £215 Michael Kors midi dress and came out in a perfectly blow-dried hair to drop Charlotte and George to school along with Duke of Cambridge, Prince William.
The royal mother was wearing her red-patterned dress, which was cinched in at the waist by a black belt. Reports state that this was the same dress she had worn during the rehearsal of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding in 2018. Kate, instead of a designer handbag, was seen carrying Charlotte's rucksack ahead of her starting lessons at Thomas’s Battersea, in South London.
The Duchess kept her look minimal, went with natural-looking makeup and paired her dress with gold hoop earrings. Meanwhile, the Duke of Cambridge also cut a clean figure as he wore a navy blazer, a pair blue shirt and a pair of brown trousers.
The royal family was spotted greeting the head of the lower school, Helen Haslem, who reportedly wore an LK Bennett navy polka dot dress worth £250. Prince George, six, who is going into his third year of school, also looked sweet walking alongside his father wearing a navy uniform like his sister Charlotte.
Reports state that the high-end school Thomas’s Battersea generally charges £6,429 a term – or £19,287 a year – however, Princess Charlotte will only be charged £6,305 a term, or £18,915 a year because she will get a sibling discount, according to the Sun. The school, which describes itself as Christian, is open to children of all faiths and believes in "praise as the greatest motivator."
The school reportedly also teaches that kindness is as important as academic success and making best friends in the institution is banned so that none of the children feel excluded there. Charlotte, who is set to learn art, ballet, drama, ICT, music and physical education at the school, will also be taught French once a week.
