LONDON, UK: Kate Middleton had a very cute interaction with a three-year-old child when she visited Colham Manor Children's Centre on Wednesday, November 9, as a representative of the Maternal Mental Health Alliance — a UK-based non-profit organization of which the princess is a patron. The 40-year-old royal squatted to the height of the boy, named Akeem, so that she could speak with him comfortably.

As per reports, when the child asked for her name, the Princess of Wales answered, “My name is Catherine,” to which Akeem cutely said, “Okay”. The little one then expressed his attraction towards Kate’s poppy pin, which royal family members have been wearing every November “since 1921 to commemorate military members who have died in wars. The red flower is primarily associated with the UK and Commonwealth countries for Remembrance Day on November 11,” PEOPLE reported.

The mother-of-three also explained the importance of poppy pins to the child before handing it over to him. “It's for remembering all the soldiers who died in the war. There you go — that's for you,” she added before giving the pin to Akeem’s mother.

Kate’s sweet and kind gesture attracted a lot of positive comments from people online as a fan wrote, “The difference with Catherine is her genuine demeanor. She doesn’t treat these events as work and she doesn’t put on a false front. She shows a human sensitivity that all people connect with.”

The second one shared, “Children love Princess Catherine!Just look at this little boy’s face on seeing her 🥰”. “Three year old Akeem, and four year old Theo (27/9) Only those who profit from hate would use a child's race or skin colour to stir division. These are beautiful moments 🥰,” the third one tweeted and the fourth one said, “Why do I have tears running down my face? I absolutely adore absolutely everything about our Catherine 🥲🥰😍❤️🌹🇬🇧.”
