A day after serving up some Wimbledon-chic as she stepped out with sister-in-law Meghan Markle for the women's singles final, Kate Middleton decided to return for a second day of tennis, on Sunday, in a gorgeous sunshine yellow dress. This time she was accompanied by husband Prince William.

Kate's summery dress for the men's singles final Serbia's Novak Djokovic and South Africa's Kevin Anderson looked extremely similar to the striking yellow outfit that Meghan wore to a recent royal engagement with Prince Harry.

But while Meghan's vibrant outfit was designed by Lady Gaga's stylist Brandon Maxwell, Kate's eye-catching figure-hugging midi dress was designed by Dolce and Gabbana, and featured elegant ruffle sleeves. The gorgeous £1,352 midi highlighted Kate's slender pins and was nipped in at the waist to show off her trim figure.

The Duchess teamed the bold dress with nude court shoes – her go-to heels for such an occasion — and wore her hair in loose, blown out curls. She finished the look with a silver watch, matching earrings, necklace and a grey handbag.

Kate had worn a similar yellow dress to Wimbledon in 2016 when she rocked a Roksanda Ilinic dress with white panelling detail.

Kate, who is the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, looked in good spirits as she waved to awaiting crowds with William who looked dapper in a grey suit paired with dark trousers. Kate and William have attended Wimbledon together for many years, and are known to be very enthusiastic during the matches.

The Duchess looked impressive as she amped up her style quotient for the men's final between — her yellow dress was a massive tone-up from the polka dot white dress she wore on Saturday when she was joined by Meghan for the women’s singles final. This was the duo's first outing together without their husbands since Meghan joined the royal family. Meghan cheered on her good friend Serena Williams who eventually lost to Angelique Kerber.

Kate and Meghan looked elegant as they kept their appearances and clothing simple. Kate donned a girly dress by Jenny Packham adorned with a polka dot print. Her dress had a large bow detail on the left of her chest and a fitted waist to highlight her slender physique. Meghan was effortlessly chic and more modern in an oversized blue-and-white striped shirt from Ralph Lauren.

The sisters-in-law got along famously and at one point Kate was in fits of giggles as Meghan cracked out the jokes. They also met some of the Championships’ ball boys and ball girls, and junior players before the match.

While it may seem like Kate's Sunday look may have been inspired by Meghan's, the Duchess of Sussex has also been seen to imitate Kate since joining the royal family. Since marrying Harry in May, her style has been very similar to the Duchess of Cambridge. Many of her outfits have been pastel coloured with demure necklines and hems.

She has also opted for sleek updos or blow-dried curls, and generally avoided wearing her hair in a messy bun as often as she used to when she was still engaged to Harry.

Kate is currently on maternity leave from royal duties after the she gave birth to her third child, Prince Louis, on April 23. However, she has been spotted at a number of events recently. On July 9, Prince Louis' christening took place at Chapel Royal at St. James' Palace in London. The following day, Kate surprised everyone by also attending the Royal Air Force's 100th Anniversary celebrations.

Other celebrities in the royal box for Sunday's final included Prime Minister Theresa May and her husband Philip, and actors Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston and Eddie Redmayne.
