Kate Mara and Jamie Bell announce birth of baby girl, their first child together
Kate Mara and Jamie Bell welcomed a newborn baby girl on Monday, May 27.
The 'Pose' actress took to social media to announce that she and her 33-year-old husband had welcomed their first child together.
“We had a baby a couple of weeks ago… Here are her feet,” Mara captioned the snapshot of her daughter's little feet on Instagram.
It was back in January this year that the 'Fantastic Four' stars had revealed that they were expecting a new member to join their family.
According to Page Six, a spy spotted Mara sharing the news of her pregnancy with fellow actress Emily Blunt during this year’s Golden Globes after the 'Mary Poppins Returns' star commented on the size of Mara’s breasts.
This is Mara's first baby while Bell has a five-and-a-half-year-old son with his former wife Evan Rachel Wood.
Mara and Bell have been together since 2015 and the couple got engaged in January 2017. The couple then announced on social media in July that they had gotten married.
Mara shared a picture of herself and Bell kissing on what looked like the dance floor on their special day. She captioned the image, "Nuptials".
Bell then shared the same picture along with the caption, "Mr. and Mrs. B."
Spilling the beans on the couple's low-key wedding in January 2018, Bell spoke to James Corden and shared, "We actually got married right across the street from our house. I literally woke up in my own bed and walked across the street, and we had our ceremony."
He also shared that the pair had some difficulty in finding a suitable location for the wedding and decided to approach a neighbor who lived in "a very beautiful, old house."
He said, "When we couldn’t find anything. We just asked the woman who owns the house across the street, 'Do you mind if we do it there?' And she agreed."
He added, "So we walked across the street and then, when it was done, we spent the night on that property and we crossed the street and came home."
Mara also got candid on how important her family is to her, sharing that having Bell as a "legal part of my family is such an incredible thing."
