'It was perfect': Kate Bosworth and Justin Long had an 'impromptu and casual' NYC wedding, source reveals
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Kate Bosworth and Justin Long went for an ‘impromptu’ wedding ceremony. According to a source, the stars had a private event, "After they got engaged, Kate couldn’t wait to marry Justin. She knew that she never wanted a big wedding. She just cared about being married." the source further revealed, "They kept talking about eloping. They ended up having an impromptu and casual wedding a few weeks ago. It was perfect. She is thrilled to be married to Justin."
According to a Page Six report, the couple got hitched at the Rockaway Hotel in New York City’s Queens a few weeks back. “It was a very low-key ceremony. Onlookers thought it was an engagement photo shoot of some sort — not an actual wedding,” the insider said. The couple picked the venue after they first saw it during an event hosted by surf brand Roxy, for which Kate collaborated earlier this month. “They fell in love with the vibe of the hotel, and they decided to get married the next day right then and there!” the source added.
'It came out in a very organic way'
“I was there while I was like really falling in love with my now-wife,” Long told guest Kyra Sedgwick of Bosworth, while visiting him when he was working on ‘Barbarian’ in Bulgaria. “She came to visit and I had never been comfortable with set visits. I like to separate the relationship … But, yeah, I loved having her there and we just had the most magical time,” reports People.
Kate was a guest in Justin Long's podcast episode on April 4, where the duo confirmed their engagement, "I thought it was the most romantic and honest and loving proposal," she said. Long chipped in and said, ‘felt so organic’ and ‘connected to something very, very deeply, profoundly personal that we were going through — like, a real-life change — and so it came out in a very organic way.’
'Kate is just the happiest'
Bosworth shared a photo from the wedding confirming the event via her Instagram Story. Both of them worked together in the 2021 film 'House of Darkness', as many believe that’s when they started the relationship. A source told People in March, "Kate is just the happiest. Justin is an amazing guy. She can't wait to marry him. They are very cute together. Kate has this amazing energy around Justin. She is just beaming."
