Kanye West, who ran as a presidential candidate in the 2020 elections, is not going to give up on his ambitions of becoming the leader of the free world. The 43-year-old billionaire rap mogul tweeted this morning that he voted for the first time in his life for the person he trusts the most, himself.

Kanye wrote, "God is so good. Today I am voting for the first time in my life for the President of the United States, and it's for someone I truly trust...me." The 'Follow God' rapper also posted a selfie with the 'I Voted' badge on his hoodie. He later tweeted a picture of himself in front of the American map which shows the current election results saying, "WELP KANYE 2024"

Now, according to a Metro.co.uk report, Kanye, who ran as an independent, has already won 50,000 votes. The two leading the polls are Democratic candidate Joe Biden and incumbent President Donald Trump. Despite the number of votes that Kanye has received across the country, he hasn't made much of a dent in any of the states that he was on the ballot for. Kanye's biggest win came in Tennessee where he won nearly 10,000 votes or 0.3% of the total vote. He beat candidates from the Constitution Party, the Green Party, and the Socialism and Liberation Party.

Twitter reacted to the news of Kanye losing the election rather quickly with one user saying, "Disappointing that cable networks won’t report Kanye West numbers," while another tweeted, "Coronavirus vaccines should be tested on the 50,000 Americans that voted for Kanye West." A different user said, "I can’t believe people actually voted for Kanye West wtf is wrong with y’all," while another wrote, "Kanye West looking at himself lose the Presidential Election all alone is one of the most depressing images of all time."

It's interesting to note that most states where Kanye got the most votes were won by Trump. The rapper, so far, has received 3,461 votes in Arkansas, 592 in Idaho, 6,110 in Kentucky, 3,818 in Louisiana, 1,875 in Mississippi, 5,265 in Oklahoma and 3,722 in Utah. He's also gotten 1,852 votes in Iowa, 5,455 in Colorado and 1,154 in Vermont, all of which are being won by Biden.

Kanye, due to late registration, failed to qualify for the ballots in other states. Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian, who in 2016 voted for Hillary Clinton, confirmed on social media that she, too, has voted this year without revealing who she voted for.

Kanye’s launched his campaign earlier this year and, during an appearance on Joe Rogan's podcast, said he is open to the idea of running for the governor of California before another presidential race. The rapper has confirmed that he isn't giving up and will be back in 2024.
