Kanye West will no longer be acquiring social media site Parler, the company confirmed in a statement. “This decision was made in the interest of both parties in mid-November,” Parler said in a statement, according to Bloomberg. “Parler will continue to pursue future opportunities for growth and the evolution of the platform for our vibrant community.”

In October, West had agreed to buy the app for an amount that was undisclosed. Parler has attempted to portray itself as a right-wing alternative to Twitter. West's account has suspended by Twitter shortly before he said he was set to buy Parler. “In a world where conservative opinions are considered to be controversial, we have to make sure we have the right to freely express ourselves,” West said in a statement released by Parler at the time. West's account was later restored.

Meanwhile, West was revently seen in a video praising Adolf Hitler while wearing a black mask that covered his face and head. The interview was with Infowars host and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, and it took place on Thursday, December 1. “I see good things about Hitler, also,” the rapper told Jones. Every human being has value that they brought to the table, especially Hitler.”

West sparked controversy in recent weeks with his antisemitic remarks. In the past, his negative publcity cost him his partnerships with top brands including Adidas and Gap. Adidas announced last week it was launching an internal investigation over claims that the rapper showed pornographic material to staffers. West partnered with the company in selling his Yeezy brand of clothing and shoes. West posted a sick antisemitic tirade on social media last month, following which Adidas cut ties with. Another corporate partner that sold Ye’s apparel line, Gap, also recently dropped him.

Meanwhile, West and Kim Kardashian recently acorporate partner that sold Ye’s apparel line. The terms of their split were finalized on Tuesday, November 29, court documents obtained by People revealed. A source told the publication that Kardashian, 42, "didn't want the divorce to go to trial."

:"[Kim and Kanye] had several initial disagreements that they were now able to agree on. Kanye ended up agreeing to most of the things that he opposed in the past," they added.

West is being trolled on social media after his plans to buy Parler failed. "He said he wanted to strip himself of everything. Whatever he is doing, it’s working. I’m interested to see how far he takes it. He goin be locked up for child support, if he keeps going at this rate," one user wrote, while another said, "I guess Kanye West even made the conservatives mad". "Pretty bad when Parler doesn’t even want you," one user said. "The consequences of one’s own actions strike again!" one user wrote, while another said, "When you’re too extreme for Parler, it might be time to reexamine one’s choices in life". Yet another said, "He's too extreme for Parler."
