Rapper Kanye West's new and upcoming album 'Jesus Is King' is just around the corner. However, it looks as though the people working on the album were not having the best time.

The 42-year-old had revealed that he had banned his staff from having sex before marriage as they helped create his new material. According to West, this would help his team be a lot more focused and also make the album a huge success. He wanted them to live their best and purest lives, probably. West blames his strange requirement on his addiction. The rapper had shared that he had been exposed to porn from a young age and had been addicted to sex after his mother died in 2007.

While speaking on his Apple Music Beats 1 show, West had explained, "There were times where I was asking people not to have premarital sex while they were working on the album. There were times where I went to people that were working on other projects and said, can you just work and focus on this? I thought if we could all focus and fast - families who pray together stay together."

West's mother Donda had passed away at the age of 58 after she went for plastic surgery. Explaining his mindset, West compared his sex addiction to drug addicts and admitted that it had helped him to cope and deal with his grief. "Some people drown themselves in drugs, and I drown myself in my addiction: sex," he shared.

During the same interview, West later said that he was the greatest artist of all time. "I am unquestionably, undoubtedly the greatest human artist of all time. It's just a fact," West revealed. West's latest album 'Jesus Is King' will be released on Friday, October 25, and is his first album since he released his album 'Ye' last year.

He also announced that he would be releasing a new album on Christmas called 'Jesus is Born'.
