Kanye West 'pushing hard' for fifth child with Kim Kardashian, wants 'many blood heirs' to inherit his legacy
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are not done having kids. Already parents to four kids, the couple are reportedly planning a fifth child through surrogacy.
The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star, along with her rapper husband, already are parents to North, 6, Saint, 4, Chicago, nearly 2, and 8-month-old Psalm. And if reports are to be believed, it is Kanye who is pushing his wife to have more kids as it would mean a larger number of children will inherit the empire that the couple has established.
“Kanye’s pushing hard for this, and he’s been very vocal about wanting to get things started right away,” an insider told Radar Online. "Kanye wants as many blood heirs to inherit his legacy, he says it’s no coincidence that he and Kim got back on track after the last baby came into their lives.”
In June, Forbes reported that Kanye surpassed Jay-Z to become the highest-paid highest-paid hip-hop artist in the world. While the latter made an impressive $81 million this year, the 'Stronger' singer made an estimated $150 million, most of which came from the revenue sales of his footwear and apparel brand, Yeezy, instead of his music records.
Kim, on the other hand, has an estimated net worth of $370 million. In 2019, she was ranked number 26 on its list of America's Highest-Paid Celebrities. Apart from the earnings from her long-running reality show, the huge success of her beauty line, KKW Beauty, also helped her rake in over $100 million in revenue in 2018.
So it might be understandable that Kanye wanted more children to leave his wealth to. But it might prove to be difficult as the birth of their fourth child, Psalm, proved to be taxing on their marriage and a number of issues emerged in their relationship.
“Kim and Kanye are barely speaking,” a source had said previously. “They don’t spend that much time together at all.”
Also, while Kim has been grateful to have two of her children through surrogacy after facing health problems throughout both the times she carried her first two kids, she has maintained that becoming a mother through surrogacy is “so much harder to go through… because you are not really in control.”
However, cosmetics mogul turns 40 in 2020 and hence might be up for one more addition to her family. “She’s got this ‘now or never’ attitude about having one more kid,” said the insider.
