Kanye West has gone from throwing 'intimate' parties with Kim Kardashian to 'hedonistic' ones with Bianca Censori

An expert compared Kanye West's 46th birthday party to the earlier intimate family gatherings held when he was still married to Kim Kardashian

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kanye West's 46th birthday became prime tabloid material after it came to light that at the bash, sushi was served on naked women. The party was also attended by his wife, Bianca Censori, and his nine-year-old daughter, North. 

Even though the rapper had a good time at the shindig, during which he rubbed shoulders with Ty Dolla $ign and Chloe Bailey, according to a relationship expert, this party "doesn't compare" to those thrown by his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.

'The couple clearly knew each other on a deep level'

Heart Bingo relationship expert and So Syncd co-founder Louella Alderson said, "Everyone knows that when it comes to the Kardashians and Kanye, modesty isn't the name of the game. Even so, Kanye West has outdone himself with his recent birthday celebration.The birthday parties that Kim threw for Kanye in the past were generally centered around friends and family."

Alderson continued, "With their relationship having lasted six years of marriage and four children, the couple clearly knew each other on a deep level. Sure, there was still plenty of flamboyance and luxury, but Kanye and Kim have always shared the common values of family and loyalty," per the Mirror.

Kanye West's 2018 birthday party versus his 2023 birthday party 

In 2018, Kim threw a lavish birthday party on West's 41st birthday. Among the attendees were West's father Ray and his friends and fellow rappers, 2 Chainz, Kid Cudi and Pusha T. There were desserts with the rapper's face on them and a professional mentalist, Lior Suchard, provided the entertainment. 

Comparing that to his 46th, things were extremely different, specifically due to the sushi incident.

Alderson said, "It's clear that Kanye's birthday celebrations have changed with the times—he has gone from extravagant yet somewhat intimate parties with close friends and family to something far more hedonistic."

"Kanye is known to make rash decisions without fear of public backlash, and it seems like a party thrown to impress others instead of being aligned with his core values. Throwing an extravagant party for your loved one can be meaningful if it's in line with what matters most to them. But, if it's clear that the party's only purpose is to make a statement and attract attention, it just doesn't have the same sentiment. Taking into account the preferences and personal values of your loved one is what makes for a meaningful celebration," Louella said, per the Mirror.
