Kanye West admits he's hooked to porn, says addiction began after he found his dad's Playboy magazine at 5
Kanye West has admitted that he has a "full-on pornography addiction".
The rapper told Zane Low during an appearance on BBC's Beats 1 Radio that his porn addiction began when he found a Playboy magazine left by his father at the age of five.
"For me, Playboy was my gateway into full-on pornography addiction," he said. "My dad had a Playboy left out at age five and it's affected almost every choice I made for the rest of my life."
"From age five til now... Having to kick the habit... It just presents itself in the open like it's OK and I stand up and say, 'No, it's not ok'." he added.
The 42-year-old singer also admitted he has a sex addiction, which came after the death of his mother Donda in 2007.
"I think when people have been addicted to something... If you ask somebody who's a drug addict, 'Are you still addicted?'" he said. "Well, yeah, you turn it off actually. With God I've been able to beat things that had full control of me."
"You know that Playboy that I found when I was five years old was written all over the moment when I was at the MTV Awards with the Timberlands, the Balmain jeans, before people were rocking Balmain jeans, and the Hennessy bottle," he continued. "It's like that was such a script out of a rockstar's life. My mom had passed a year before and I said some people drown themselves in drugs. And I drowned myself in my addiction [to sex]."
Kanye is a father to North, 6, Saint, 3, Chicago, 2, and Psalm, five months, with his wife Kim Kardashian West.
Kanye also admitted that his concern with his wife's sexy dress nearly ruined her appearance at the Met Ball.
38-year-old Kim had spent eight months perfecting her Thierry Mugler look for the Costume Institute Gala in New York City. However, she was left "anxiety-ridden" after her husband did not approve of her apparel at the last minute.
"I just made this transition from being a rapper, looking at all these girls, looking at my wife," he said on 'KUWTK'. "Like, 'Oh, my girl needs to be like the other girls, showing her body off'."
"I didn't realize that that was affecting my soul and my spirit as someone that's married and loved, and the father of now, what, about to be four kids?" he mused.
