Kanye West seen 'eating his earwax' during Sunday Service in California, disturbing video divides internet
While Kanye's Sunday Service is already a hit among devout Christians—fans and Hollywood A-listers alike—footage from last weekend's service in California broke the internet aft it apparently showed him eating some of his own earwax.
In the video, the 'Stronger' hitmaker is seen grooving to the music before scratching his ears and putting those same fingers in his mouth. The video was posted on September 1 by a Twitter user who seemingly attended the event.
"So I didn't even notice but I got a video of @kanyewest eating his earwax," they wrote alongside the video.
The tweet has since garnered over 127k likes and 24k retweets, with users debating whether Kanye was rightly accused.
Nonetheless, it seems the overall consensus is that it was an innocent scratch on the earlobe followed by an innocent removal of some chewing gum.
"Well, maybe his inner ear itched and then he went to take some hair off his tongue. Just trying to give the man the benefit of the doubt," one user commented.
"And this is why the album is delayed, Kanye’s out here eating earwax," another wrote.
Kanye’s Sunday Service has become highly popular over the past few months, especially among A-list celebrities. Hollywood actor Brad Pitt recently attended one worship session sporting a charcoal-colored cap and t-shirt.
Kanye recently conducted an interview with wife Kim for Vogue Arabia, where the duo talked about the prayer sessions and why it meant so much to them. "What role do you think faith in God has played in your life and in our home?" West asked his wife.
"My father was a devout Christian, so growing up, we would go to church together as a family every week," Kardashian-West responded. "He would talk to us about the importance of having faith in God and the power of prayer. Now that we have a family of our own, I love the conversations that we are having together and with our kids about how we can be more in service to God in everything that we do.
"Sunday Service this year especially has been such a blessing," she continued. "I’m so grateful that you brought that into our lives because it’s brought us even closer together as a family. It’s something that North especially looks forward to every week. She loves singing with the choir. We are truly blessed."
