Kanye West has claimed that he has more money than President Donald Trump and denied that Republicans are funding his ‘walk’ for the presidential bid. Although there are doubts in people's minds as to how seriously the rapper is taking the presidential ticket for 2020 since announcing he was running for the White House back in July, during an appearance on Nick Cannon's podcast, teased on Instagram, the Yeezy founder dispelled rumors that he was only running to lure voters away from Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, adding that the Republican Party cannot afford to pay him.

"People keep on saying, 'I think that y'all -you and Republicans - are in cahoots.' Bro, can't nobody pay me. I've got more money than Trump,'' he said. However, even that statement seems t be controversial as West's net worth is reportedly $1.3 billion, while the POTUS' is $2.1 billion. When he was pressed by Cannon, who asked, "But people are saying that you're a distraction, and because they don't want four more years of Trump, maybe you might. You want an alternative of four years of Ye. Is that realistic right now in 2020?" West replied, ''I'm not running for president - I'm walking."

We reported last month that rumors started spreading that West's campaign was orchestrated by Republicans after reports state that petitioning company Let The Voters Decide, headed by Mark Jacoby, has been assisting the rapper to secure signatures to run in at least three states: Ohio, West Virginia, and Arkansas. Jacoby, a senior Republican working for the Republican Party in California, was arrested in 2008, on charges of voter fraud.

Jacoby, in a statement to the New York Times, had said that his organization was non-partisan. He also refused to comment on his supposed ties with the fashion designer. "Anyone who is qualified to stand for election has the right to run," he told the outlet. The reports surfaced after the rapper made a deadline to file as an independent candidate in Wisconsin on August 4.

West’s nominating petitions were dropped off with state regulators in Madison by Lane Ruhland, a top Republica lawyer, before the August 4 deadline. Ruhland, former general counsel for the state GOP, was captured on camera dropping off the papers. When reporters asked whether she had been hired by the rapper, she did not offer any comments. A state Republican Party official also appeared to confirm Ruhland's involvement in the rapper's campaign.

GOP spokesperson Alesha Guenther, while talking to Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, wrote: "It appears that Kanye West made a smart decision by hiring an experienced election attorney. We welcome Kanye West and all other candidates who qualified for ballot access to the race." Reports state that the former executive director of the American Conservative Union, Gregg Keller, has also been listed as a contact for West's campaign in Arkansas. Keller was once considered to be Trump's campaign manager. While the fourth person linked to West's campaign is Chuck Wilton from Vermont.

Meanwhile, West has launched a website to invite donations from both Democrats as well as Republicans. According to the website, the rapper is calling his campaign, 'Creating a Culture of Life', without giving any explanation as to what it possibly means. One can sign up to support the musician by providing details like email, phone number, and zip code. And the donations range from as low as $20 to as high as $1,000.
