Kanye West labeled ‘Trump a** kisser’ despite donation of $2M towards George Floyd’s daughter tuitions
Kanye West, who was until now being called out for remaining quiet on the killing of George Floyd and the uproar it has created across the US, has finally come forward to make a generous donation towards Floyd's daughter's tuition.
According to TMZ, Kanye has donated $2 million to fully cover George Floyd’s six-year-old daughter Gianna’s tuition, including separate donations to take care of legal costs for Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor’s families. Besides the above donations, reports suggest that the rapper has also monetarily helped several black-owned businesses in his hometown.
He was recently spotted for the first time at protests as he joined Chicago Public School students demanding justice for George Floyd. Although the internet was eagerly waiting for the ‘I Love It’ singer-rapper to speak up on the issue, many Twitter users aren’t convinced with his latest action owing to his affinity with President Donald Trump.
One of the tweets read, “As far as I am concerned, Trump a** kisser @kanyewest can get the fuck out of Chicago. The south side is fine without you. Go away.”
Another Twitter user said Kanye should rather use his influence with the president to bring about a change, pointing at his relationship with Trump.
“The #American government should impartially investigate the cause of the death of these three individuals, fix responsibility and compensate the bereaved families accordingly. #KanyeWest should rather utilize his proximity to President @realDonaldTrump for this purpose. #racism,” said one.
Meanwhile, a few aren’t willing to accept any sort of help from Kanye or his wife Kim Kardashian as the couple has always been supporters of Trump. “Nope. Not here for any praise of @kanyewest or @KimKardashian.This power couple got some seriously Stockholm Syndrome when they befriend and pose with Trump for views. But one of Kanye’s fans said in his defense, “Wether you like it or not Kanye West did what he had to do and donate $2million dollars when will your fave huh?? Prob the only open celebrity that actually donated more than $500k lmfao”
