Kane Brown and wife Katelyn Jae welcome 1st child, daughter Kingsley Rose Brown
American singer and songwriter Kane Brown has become a father. The 26-year-old musician and his wife Katelyn Jae welcomed their first child, a daughter, Tuesday, October 29. Announcing the happy occasion on Instagram, Brown shared a photo of himself holding baby Kingsley and kissing his wife, and wrote: “Welcome to the family Kingsley Rose Brown!”
Brown and Jae, who got married in October 2018, announced in April this year that they were expecting a baby. Taking to Instagram then, he wrote alongside a photo of his wife's sonogram, “It’s been so hard keeping this a secret! But the KB’s are gonna be parents!!! KB3,” adding, “I’m gonna be a daddy!”
Earlier this month, the country singer gave his fans a sneak peek at his yet-to-be-born daughter's nursery. Over the course of Katelyn's pregnancy, Brown shared many photos of them together.
On August 15, he announced on Instagram his daughter's name: "Officially announcing our baby’s name! Kingsley can’t wait for you to be here!" According to a report in The Boot, Kingsley's name comes from Brown and Jae's idea for a son's name, Kingston.
Her middle name, Rose, on the other hand, is a name from Jae's side of the family. Born October 21, 1993, Brown came to prominence as a musician on social media in 2014 through covers of songs by Brantley Gilbert, Billy Currington and Alan Jackson.
The following year, he released his first EP, ‘Closer’. In 2017, Brown became the first artist to have simultaneous number ones on all five main Billboard country charts.
