Kaia Gerber splits with boyfriend Pete Davidson after dating for 3 months: 'It got very overwhelming for Kaia'
Kaia Gerber and Pete Davidson have ended their three-month whirlwind romance.
"It looks like Pete and Kaia are over. It got very overwhelming for Kaia. Pete has a certain M.O. and he's very intense to his girlfriends. Kaia is only 18 and it's a lot to deal with," a source shared, according to a report by Page Six.
The news of their breakup comes just days after 18-year-old Gerber was seen vacationing in Miami without Davidson.
Pictures shared online at the time showed that Gerber was out with 'Queer Eye' star Antoni Porowski and '13 Reasons Why' star Tommy Dorfman.
She had also been seen along with her mother Cindy Crawford on Sunday, January 12. The split follows Davidson admitting that he was headed back for treatment for his borderline personality order.
While on 'Saturday Night Live', he had said, "I'm going on 'vacation' but insurance pays for some of it, and they take your phone and shoelaces. And it costs $100,000 but I still have roommates."
Davidson has been maintaining a low profile recently but was last seen as part of the Alexander Wang fashion campaign. The couple was first linked together in October after the comedian split up with actress Margaret Qualley.
According to US Weekly, a source had shared in November, "Right now Pete seems to be more stable and happier." Another insider had spoken about Gerber's mother Cindy Crawford and her hands-off approach to her daughter's relationship.
At the time, the insider had said, "Cindy's supportive of Kaia and wants her to be happy. Right now she's happy with Pete Davidson, so Cindy's trying not to get involved. Kaia's young, so Cindy's encouraging her to stay focused on her future. Kaia trusts her mom completely and looks to her as a role model."
Davidson had previously been romantically linked to Kate Beckinsale and had also been engaged to singer Ariana Grande for around four months in 2018.
