Kai Cenat gives update on streaming schedule as he reveals 'first court date', implores media to protect mother's privacy
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Kai Cenat stands out as a prominent figure within the Twitch streaming community, boasting an impressive following of over 6.3 million dedicated fans.
In his most recent live stream, Cenat took the opportunity to divulge details about his inaugural court appearance, while also fervently requesting that the media respect his mother's privacy.
This development comes in the wake of recent allegations levied against Cenat, including charges related to incitement of a riot and participation in an unlawful assembly.
Notably, Cenat found himself arrested during a noteworthy giveaway event held at Union Square. Following these allegations, he was subsequently released on the very same day.
‘I got court dates’
In the recent Cenat live stream, he discussed upcoming court dates as he faces charges related to the giveaway incident. He mentioned being confronted with several charges and subsequently announced the scheduled court proceedings.
“As an update as to what's going on. You all know, you all have seen it, I'm being hit with multiple charges. Y'all know that already. For streaming, I might have to chill for a little bit due to the fact that one, I got court dates that I have to appear to. My first court date is August 16. That's my first court date." Cenat said.
'She doesn’t even live in New York'
A video snippet from the live stream quickly gained popularity on Twitter. In the clip, Cenat expressed his newfound understanding of handling situations, mentioning, “I've got things that I actually have to, you know, things that I actually have to handle. You feel me?"
He continued, "I've got charges and stuff like that and I have to go to court and I have to handle a lot of things and, yeah that's it. You all will not be seeing me for a little bit, and when I say a little bit I mean a little bit."
He then conveyed his sense of disappointment, not quite in line with his expectations, stating, “We can’t just be running around and destroying this and that. None of that is how I wanted any of this to go. I didn’t think it was gonna be what it was.”
Furthermore, he urged the media to reconsider their actions and questioned their involvement with his family.
He raised concerns about them visiting his mother's residence, asking, "There’s no reason why you’re showing up to my mum’s house. I can handle it, whatever you want to say about me. I just don’t want you to be going to my mum’s house, she doesn’t even live in New York.”
