'But chat, did I scam them? No'

During a live stream on May 26, 2023, Kai Cenat's fans directed his attention to posts circulating on social media that detailed certain allegations. The 21-year-old streamer was surprised by the content and proceeded to review the Discord conversations mentioned in the posts.

“On everything I love, I know I haven’t used any ideas,” he affirmed. Proceeding further, he enumerated all the distinctive content concepts that were executed during his subathon, asserting that he had personally devised them.

“Listen, I feel bad. One, I got to see the list of ideas. Two, I feel bad for y’all, so I got to get down to the situation, get dremo’s side, get y’all side. And if y’all put work in, I’ll make sure y’all good. But chat, did I scam them? No!”

'I didn't get paid either'

The initial screenshot unveiled a conversation dated April 2, 2023, where Dremo urged the Twitter user to document ideas and mentioned organizing a meeting. Dremo further asserted his responsibility for the "creative direction" of "every top streamer. Dremo stated, “I need a team of people who are serious about wanting to make something in the content space,” and added, “I’m 17 and projected to make 3.6m a year off internet money this year.”

Once the ideas were provided on a Google Sheet, Dremo requested the contributors to submit more suggestions and assured them of discussing payment with Kai. He mentioned a “weekly pay out based on work done.”

However, when May arrived, the contributors claimed they had not yet received payment. In response, Dremo replied, "He is not paying y’all need to move on.”

When LC told Dremo, it was his job to make sure they are getting paid, Dremo said, "ok i didn't get paid either."
