Kai has become the first male muse for the cosmetics brand Bobbi Brown, which is known globally for its natural make-up look, and fans are over the moon

Kai, member of K-pop group EXO, has become the first male muse for the cosmetics brand Bobbi Brown. According to multiple reports, Kai, whose real name is Kim Jong-in, was confirmed as the first-ever male muse for Bobbi Brown after appearing in a photograph with Kim Yoon Hee, the editor-in-chief of 1st Look Magazine, on her official Instagram.

In the photo, posted by Kim Yoon Hee herself, she can be seen posing alongside Kai while he's holding a cake. The cake had "Kai x Bobbi Brown: Congratulations" written on it. The Instagram post, originally shared by handle @yoonhee.kim_313, has since been deleted. 

Ever since this detail became public, fans of Exo have flooded Twitter with messages congratulating the K-pop singer using the hashtag #KAIxBOBBIBROWN. One proud Twitter user said, "it's the Kai smile when he's the first male muse of Bobbi Brown and the first male global Gucci ambassador for me," while another excited fan wrote, "you are not gonna see me say anything else today but KAI is the first male muse of Bobbi Brown."

Another excited Exo fan said tweeted, "Kim Jong-in the first male muse for a brand that celebrates powerful women and champions inclusion sounds like music to my ears," while another, congratulating the K-pop superstar but remembering the ongoing pandemic, said, "Jong-in becomes the muse of a makeup brand when I no longer wear makeup because we’re in a pandemic and I cant go out anymore."

How much is Bobbi Brown worth?

According to multiple sources that track the wealth of prominent individuals, Bobbi Brown is worth a whopping $50M. When the 63-year-old entrepreneur and professional make-up artist launched the brand Bobbi Brown, it was considered revolutionary within the cosmetics industry. Brown, who founded her business in the early '90s, pushed for a natural make-up look which became insanely popular all over the globe with stores virtually everywhere. Through the decades, Brown's eponymous brand has remained loyal to the less-is-more aesthetic. The company's slogan, "be who you are", started a self-worth movement of the new millennia.

At present, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics is owned and managed by the multinational conglomerate Estée Lauder Companies Inc. which acquired the brand back in 1995. The brand retails across its international network of stand-alone stores, department stores and in-house e-commerce platform. In December 2016, Brown stepped down from the company at the end of the year. Following this, she continued creating new lines and participating in the beauty industry through other projects such as beauty podcasts, a makeup MasterClass, and her website JustBobbi.com.

The brand Bobbi Brown's last reported revenue was $47.6M. Estée Lauder, on the other hand, saw a revenue of $14.29B while their operating income was $606M.
