Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel will 'work through' the controversy of him holding hands with co-star Alisha Wainwright
Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake are going to be working through their issues after he was caught holding hands with another woman.
As reported by People, an insider shared that Timberlake is "charming and outgoing" and that he had obviously drunk too much at the time. It was just last month when Timberlake was spotted mingling with Alisha Wainwright, who is his co-star on upcoming film project 'Palmer'.
The 38-year-old 'Sexy Back' singer was seen holding hands with 30-year-old Wainwright on November 23 while out with friends in New Orleans. Eventually, Timberlake apologized for his behavior and then assured fans that "nothing happened" between him and his costar.
A source close to Biel and Timberlake shared that the couple will "work through this. It was good that he apologized publicly but obviously the real work he is doing is in private and hopefully this was just a bad drunken night of this type of behavior." Timberlake took to social media to address his Instagram followers and cleared up what he called a "strong lapse of judgment."
He added that he tries to stay away from gossip as much as possible but for the sake of his family, he was going to address the rumors about him and Wainwright.
"A few weeks ago I displayed a strong lapse in judgment — but let me be clear — nothing happened between me and my costar. I drank way too much that night and I regret my behavior. I should have known better," Timberlake had shared.
In the statement, he also personally apologized to his wife Biel whom he had married in 2012. He also has a son, Silas, 4, with her. "This is not the example I want to set for my son. I apologize to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focused on being the best husband and father I can be," he revealed.
