Justin Bieber is relying on his personal version of the Holy Trinity as he battles his anxiety and depression, i.e., the 'Sorry' singer is taking comfort in the company of his mother Pattie Mallette, his wife Hailey Baldwin, as well as the Bible.

The singer was spotted spending time with his mother and wife over the weekend by the public pool at the Montage Laguna Beach in California, all the while passing around a large Bible in the sunshine. "Justin seemed pretty depressed at the start of the day," said an onlooker who did not wish to be named.

"He was really sad and at first, he was hardly talking to Hailey, she was just lying on her lounger reading the bible." Other onlookers also mentioned that Justin looked "noticeably bummed" and was seen "sulking around" when he first got to the pool.

It was when his mother arrived that his mood began to lighten up, as per the Daily Mail. "Justin and his mom embraced for so long when she first arrived, it was about three minutes. Then they snuggled for a while on the lounger," a source revealed.

"He was rubbing his face and rubbing his eyes a lot, I couldn't tell if he was crying or not, but he did seem depressed. He was noticeably bummed out before his mom arrived. At one point he was laying down with his head on his mom's stomach."

The same source further claimed that the 'What Do You Mean' singer cheered up later in the day and began playing around in the pool and laughing with his wife, Hailey. "He would be standing at the edge of the pool, then fall in backward, like a little kid and she was like 'you're being so annoying, splashing everyone.'"

The source continued, "Later on in the day he kept grabbing her boob, and she was laughing, by that time they were being quite playful with each other. Hailey went back and forth between the spa and the pool and the gift shop for most of the day."

The insider further added, "Hailey was the first one of them to read the bible, then they passed it around between them, his mom read it for quite a while too. No one bothered them all day by the pool, no one asked for photos or autographs or anything. It's an older crowd at that pool and mostly very wealthy people, so everyone left them alone."

Reports of Bieber being depressed have been coming for quite a while now, earlier he even opened up to fans on Instagram admitting that he was 'struggling a lot' and that his personal battles were making him feel 'disconnected and super weird'.
