PETA has reportedly slammed the newly-married Justin Bieber for purchasing two exotic kittens estimated to cost around $35,000.

The organization on Thursday, October 4, called out the 25-year-old singer for his decision to buy the expensive Savannah kittens.

PETA also claimed that Bieber does not really "care" about genuinely helping animals. According to a report by People, PETA Senior Vice President Lisa Lange shared that Bieber needs to change his outlook towards animals.

"Baby, baby, baby, nooooooo. Justin Bieber could inspire his fans around the world to save a life by adopting a cat from a local animal shelter — rather than fueling the dangerous demand for hybrid cats, contributing to the animal overpopulation crisis, and proving that when it comes to helping animals," Lange shared.

"His stance so far is 'I don't care'," Lange added. Bieber, however, seemed to be unfazed by PETA's comments about his kittens whom he has named Sushi and Tuna.

He recently took to his Instagram stories to share a screenshot of the account handles he had created for his kittens and requested his fans and followers to start following the kittens' account.

He also shared a picture of his pets and captioned the image, "@kittysushiandtuna are my children". Bieber had purchased the kittens ahead of his second wedding to Hailey Baldwin.

The kittens are part domestic and part African Serval. As they are considered to be "living room leopards" they have been legally banned in Colorado, Delaware, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Massachusetts, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, Texas, and Vermont, the Savannah Cat Association revealed.

Justin Bieber married his wife Hailey Baldwin for the second time in South Carolina. The pair got married at the Montage Palmetto Bluff, a luxury resort on the waterfront. The star-studded guests included the likes of Kendall Jenner, Camila Morrone, Scooter Braun, Kim Kardashian, and Joan Smalls.
