Justin Bieber reveals he's feeling 'super disconnected and weird' amid rumors of marriage woes with Hailey Baldwin
The Canadian star, who rose to fame as a mere teenager, has off late become increasingly candid about his personal struggles and addictions.
Justin Bieber is definitely going through a difficult period in his personal life. The 'Sorry' singer, who has been reportedly battling with marital woes with wife Hailey Baldwin, recently opened up on social media about feeling 'super disconnected and weird'.
Justin opened up about his personal struggles in a candid new Instagram post that he shared on Saturday. "Been struggling a lot," said the Canadian pop star. "Just feeling super disconnected and weird..." The photo accompanying the post was originally taken in 2016 and showed him with friends Kanye West and Scooter Braun.
The 'What Do You Mean' singer began his message by hoping his journey would "resonate" with fans. "Just wanted to keep you guys updated a little bit hopefully what I'm going through will resonate with you guys," he wrote on the post, as reported by Daily Mail.
"Been struggling a lot. Just feeling super disconnected and weird.. I always bounce back so I'm not worried just wanted to reach out and ask for your guys to pray for me," continued the devout pop star. "God is faithful and ur prayers really work thanks .. the most human season I've ever been in facing my stuff head on.."
The Canadian star, who rose to fame as a mere teenager, has off late become increasingly candid about his personal struggles and addictions and he even revealed how he once struggled with sex and the anti-anxiety drug Xanax.
"I found myself doing things that I was so ashamed of, being super-promiscuous and stuff, and I think I used Xanax because I was so ashamed," he told Vogue in an interview recently. "My mom always said to treat women with respect. For me, that was always in my head while I was doing it, so I could never enjoy it. Drugs put a screen between me and what I was doing."
Bieber's frank confession to being in a not-so-good frame of mind comes right after news that he was reportedly seeking treatment for depression. Since all of these upheavals started after his sudden marriage, people were quick to point out that maybe his wedding with Hailey Baldwin had something to do with it, but the singer categorically denied any such claims. "It has nothing to do with Hailey — he is very happy being married to her. It's just something else that he struggles with mentally," a source told People.
The same insider further added, "He has good help around him and is receiving some treatment. He seems confident he will feel better soon." And the young model has reportedly been fully supportive of her husband's ongoing treatment.
