'Just ask about soccer': Media's obsession with Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's relationship irks NFL fans
FRANKFURT, GERMANY: NFL fans are annoyed over sports reporters turning their attention from soccer to the rumored relationship between Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and pop singer Taylor Swift. The latest incident occurred on November 3 in Frankfurt at a press conference when an international reporter asked Kelce about his budding romance with the pop star.
Dating rumors between the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and the 'Cruel Summer' singer started doing the rounds in September. Media has spotted them together multiple times, showing off their PDA.
Based on a Daily Mail report, the couple spent Halloween together at Kelce's new mansion in Kansas City.
The Chiefs are all set to face the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, November 5, in Frankfurt.

Travis Kelce likes to keep his 'personal relationship personal'
During his scheduled media availability, an international reporter asked the NFL star about the latest status of his relationship with the 'Anti-Hero' singer.
"What is the latest status and are you in love?" the reported asked. Kelce replied, "The latest status is I got to see her last week. That's the latest status right there."
The reporter chimed in with the second part of her question: "And the second question was...are you in love?" A smiling Kelce refrained from spilling any details about his love life. "I'm going to keep my personal relationship personal," said the Chiefs player.
The couple started making headlines after Swift attended the Chiefs game against the Chicago Bears on September 24 in Kansas City. She has so far attended four of the team's games, all of which the Chiefs won.
Fans were fed up with the wide media coverage the NFL gave to Swift when she was present in those games cheering for Kelce.
Some ardent sports fans even went to the extent of an "Enough Taylor Swift" trend on 'X' after the Chiefs game against the New York Jets on October 2.
Political commentators like Tomi Lahren also took to 'X' (formerly Twitter), criticizing the couple for shifting the media attention from football to their personal lives.
"The wall-to-wall coverage of Taylor Swift at this game is annoying AF. I don't even like football and I agree it's destroying football. Just enough," wrote Lahren on X.

The Frankfurt press conference incident is the latest in the trend.
Amidst the dating speculations, Swift will start the international leg of her Eras tour on November 9 in Buenos Aires.
NFL fans do not want sports reporters to focus on Taylor Swift
Swift, being a popular star worldwide, and the NFL a game more popular in America, it is evident that the game is getting more attention in other parts of the world and even among the Americans who don't follow the NFL. But the hardcore NFL fans want it to be known for the kind of sports it is and not as part of any player's personal life.
Many fans are voicing their disappointment over the issue on social media. Users also criticized the reporters for asking unprofessional questions that were totally unrelated to the game.
One angry user said on 'X', "Just ask about soccer or whatever."
Another one stated, "Literally they're sports reporter and asking this."
"They need to ask him actual football questions," said a user.
One person said, "Sport reporters need to stop being so nosy and mind their own business."
