Julia Wandelt: Woman claiming to be Madeleine McCann reveals verbal abuse she suffered from 'family'
LONDON, ENGLAND: Julia Wandelt, a 21-year-old Polish girl who claims she is the missing Madeleine McCann, has claimed she was shunned by her family in Wroclaw, Poland. They allegedly blocked contact with her after she made the bombshell claims and made headlines. Julia goes by different surnames like Wendell and Faustyna.
McCann disappeared on May 3, 2007, at the age of three in Praia da Luz, Portugal. In the midst of investigations into the child’s disappearance, Julia launched an Instagram page, 'I am Madeleine McCann', claiming she would like a DNA test to see if she is the missing child. In the video, which rocketed Julia to fame, she claimed she is 21 but not sure of her real identity or age. She said she has similar spots on her body that McCann had. Polish police eventually dismissed Julia's claims.

Julia Wandelt was allegedly called 'crazy' and 'delusional'
"[My father] was just sad and that's all, but my mother tried to make me a little scared maybe," said Julia has now said, according to RadarOnline. Julia claims she was called "crazy" and "delusional" by the woman she was raised by.
Julia, 21, had earlier told RadarOnline that she suffered sexual abuse in her younger years at the hands of a man her family knew of. She said she believes the same man could be involved in McCann's case too. Julia said that had another family member been in her situation, she would have done everything possible to put the abuser "in prison." A few days ago, Julia said she received a call from a person she recognized as a family member who attempted to halt the investigation into her alleged abuser.
Julia Wandelt received threats to her life
Earlier this month, Julia moved to the US after receiving threats to her life. After investigators ruled out her claims, Julia sought the help of an American medium Fia Johansson, a psychic detective investigating the case, who supported her claims saying they are “open” to the idea Wandelt could be “any” missing child out there. The ‘@iammadeleinemccann’ Instagram account was taken down after Polish police ruled out Julia’s claims. Johansson said troll accounts spreading "lies" on Instagram led to the account's suspension.
Although authorities are not convinced Julia is McCann, the Polish woman received massive support from Johansson. She reportedly helped find physical similarities between McCann and Julia. Johansson, who reportedly helps law enforcement and intelligence agencies solve unsolvable cold cases, has made it her mission to prove Julia is McCann. She even shared that she might sue McCann's parents Kate and Gerry McCann, who have said nothing about Julia's claims. However, they did agree to a DNA test, which Julia's parents did not.
