Internet wonders why Julia Wandelt flew to US instead of meeting Madeleine McCann’s family in UK
LONDON, ENGLAND: Julia Wandelt, a 21-year-old Polish girl who claims she is the missing Madeleine McCann, is now in the USA after she received threats to her life following her explosive claims about her identity. McCann disappeared on May 3, 2007, at the age of three. In the midst of investigations into the child’s disappearance, Julia who goes by different surnames like Wendell and Faustyna launched her Instagram page, 'I am Madeleine McCann', last month claiming she’d like a DNA test to see if she is the girl who everyone is looking for.
In the video, which rocketed Julia to fame, she claimed she is 21 but not sure of her real identity or age. She said she has similar spots on her body that McCann had. Polish police eventually dismissed Julia's claims. Julia then sought the help of an American medium Fia Johansson, a psychic detective investigating the case, who supported her claims saying they are “open” to the idea Wandelt could be “any” missing child out there. However, after Polish police ruled out Julia’s claims, the ‘@iammadeleinemcann’ Instagram account was taken down soon and Johansson said troll accounts spreading "lies" on Instagram led to the account's suspension.

Julia has been taken to the US by Johansson after she received death threats online. The California-based private detective said Julia felt terrified" and "unsafe" after receiving the messages, which included disturbing sexual comments from haters.
"Thanks for the extra protection I love you USA," Dr Johansson wrote on her Instagram story after landing at LAX airport. "Welcome to USA Julia - the land of love and dreams."

Although authorities are not convinced Julia is McCann, the Polish woman received massive support from Johansson. She reportedly helped find physical similarities between McCann and Julia. Johansson, who reportedly helps law enforcement and intelligence agencies solve unsolvable cold cold cases, has made it her mission to prove Julia is McCann. She even shared that she might sue Kate and Gerry McCann, who have said nothing about Julia's claims. However, they did agree to a DNA test, which Julia's parents did not.
Julia has reportedly been bombarded by vile messages, with one saying there was a €30,000 (31600.56 United States Dollar) bounty on her head. Johansson believes Poland is not safe for Wandelt any longer. "My number one priority has always been Julia's safety," Johnasson told The Sun. "The haters have been attacking Julia since she came forward. The situation in Poland is she has nobody. Her family won't talk to her."
"Julia has never said, 'I am Madeleine McCann'. She has lots of questions about her past and she asked for help. We are open to all possibilities," she said. "Having spent time with Julia and investigating this I do not think she is lying or making things up for followers, everything she says appears to be real. "She says she was abused as a child and we have found evidence in court that she was abused between 2011 and 2012."
"We have asked her family for a DNA test but her mother blocked her and they refused to even take our calls," she added. "We can't get a court order to force them to because there is a law against it in Poland. We went to the police in Poland to report her concerns she may be Madeleine McCann but they said they do not have any investigations about any missing persons outside the country. The country where Maddie is missing from - Portugal - would have to force Poland to look at it. So the police cannot say whether she is Madeleine or not Madeleine."

Many took to social media to discuss Wandelt being whisked to the US, with one user commenting on Facebook, "She’s just being used by that physic, the women is in control of that girls account I watched a video on it the poor girl is being fed what to say by her". Another said, "So instead of whisking her to THE UK where her possible parents could be and get a DNA test done....she's whisked to the USA.....yep sure coz that makes sense". One user wrote, "Surely the UK would have been more appropriate,could have sorted the DNA out with the mcCann family.".

"I believe this young lady is maddie. Instead of judging her see what happens next in her journey to whom she is," one speculated.
