Julia Wandelt: Polish woman claiming to be Madeleine McCann deletes her Instagram account
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: A Polish woman claiming to be Madeleine McCann has deleted her Instagram account which was her only remaining form of social media after closing her Facebook and TikTok pages in late February. Julia Wandelt (also Julia Wendell/Julia Faustyna), 21, had garnered over a million followers on the social media app after sharing "evidence" implying that she is McCann, the missing British child who disappeared at the age of three in Portugal's Praia da Luz back in 2007.
Wandelt has claimed she had a speck in her eye just like Madeleine while also adding that she does not remember much about her childhood. The woman has also said that she was allegedly abused by a German pedophile who looked like an early suspect in the disappearance on her Instagram account. However, at the time of writing, Wandelt's Instagram profile @Iammadeleinemccann is no longer available. It is unclear if she has voluntarily deleted her Instagram or whether it was the work of the social media site.

'No official record went out'
According to the DailyStar, Wandelt is currently in a town near the Germany-Poland border where she was visited by Dr Fia Johansson, a private investigator, and self-professed medium. The duo appeared in a video where they address the Polish police's previous statement saying Julia is not Madeleine. Dr Johansson, who has worked on missing person cases with US law enforcement, stated: "We started to investigate this situation for 45 minutes and what we got back [was that] no police officers whatsoever in Poland said that she is, or she is not, Madeleine McCann. No official record whatsoever went out... it was all lies."
She also said that the cops can work on the case if prompted by British or Portuguese authorities. The psychic medium also shared that she and Wandelt are intending to visit the Polish police themselves following Wandelt's parents continually refusing to take a DNA test to determine who Julia really is.
'I closed my Facebook account and TikTok'
Wandelt, who claims she resembles the missing Leicestershire girl, took to her Instagram to announce that she has removed both Facebook and TikTok after falling prey to online trolling."If you don't like me, please unfollow. I don't want fans or followers," she said. "I closed my Facebook account and TikTok so people can't make fun of me."
