Julia Wandelt: Polish woman submits DNA samples to find out if she is missing Madeleine McCann
WARSAW, POLAND: Finally the 16-year-old mysterious case concerning the sudden disappearance of the 3-year-old British toddler who vanished in 2007 while on a family vacation can come to a definite conclusion. 21-year-old Julia Wandelt [also known as Julia Faustyna], the Polish woman who considers herself to be the missing Madeleine McCann has submitted the highly anticipated DNA samples for forensic testing that is soon going to address all the questions that many people have in their minds.
Private investigator Dr Fia Johansson said that Wandelt submitted samples for three different forensic examinations that will outline her DNA sequence, along with a 23andMe-style genetic test to establish her ancestry, according to RadarOnline.

What did Dr Fia Johansson say?
“If the results come back that she’s British or from that area then we are going to continue our investigation into Madeleine McCann and communicate with the detectives in Portugal,” said Dr Johansson. “We have a lot of evidence right now that shows Julia was definitely trafficked to Poland from another country by an international sex trafficking group,” she added. “We are still conducting an investigation but Julia is definitely not the biological daughter of her parents in Poland.”
The private investigator said that she will immediately send the DNA sequence to Portuguese investigators for comparison if Wandelt's ancestry comes from the same region as Madeleine’s parents, Gerry and Kate McCann.

Why is she claiming to be Madeleine McCann?
Julia Wandelt, a Polish woman previously said that she wondered about her real identity following a comment from her grandmother and because she claims she was sexually harassed by an individual whom she believes was a prime suspect in the Madeleine McCann case.
She has also identified moles in similar positions to that of the missing girl and also has the famous mark in her eye, just like the toddler. The 21-year-old became a worldwide sensation after she set up an Instagram page, titled @IAmMadeleineMcCann, where she made the same claims that she is the toddler who was abducted from a hotel room in Praia da Luz, Portugal, while her parents dined nearby with friends. However, the page had to be shut down as she was receiving death threats.
“I think I can be Madeleine,” Wendell wrote in the account’s bio when it first appeared on February 18. “I need DNA test… Police investigators from UK and Poland try to ignore me. I will tell my story in posts here. Help me.”
Julia Wandelt and the McCann DNA test
Dr Fia Johansson has previously revealed she has asked for a DNA test from Julia's parents. She told The Sun, "We have asked her family for a DNA test but her mother blocked her and they refused to even take our calls. We can't get a court order to force them to because there is a law against it in Poland."

Wandelt's family, on the other hand, issued a statement via the Polish Missing Persons charity in which they addressed the claims. "For us as a family it is obvious that Julia is our daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and step niece. We have memories, we have pictures", they said. "Julia also has these photos, because she took them from the family home with the birth certificate, as well as numerous hospital discharges. We are devastated at this current situation."
Role of Dr Johansson in the Wandelt-McCann case
Dr Johansson is apparently playing a very crucial role in Wandelt's life in trying to find out her real identity. She flew to visit Julia in Poland last week where she spoke to her doctors, school friends, and police and believes there are a lot of "unanswered questions" about the case. The private investigator even shifted her to the US from Poland as Wendell was repeatedly getting death threats, including one claiming there was a 30,000 euro bounty on her head.

"To everyone interested in Julia’s search for answers, please understand we are in the middle of an investigation. This is a vulnerable woman seeking answers about her identity and her life", Dr Fia Johansson has since said on social media. "Regardless of your opinions, she is a human being who deserves respect. Her background was challenging and messy. There is no need to spew hatred, judgment, and especially threats toward a person in need. This is unacceptable and needs to stop."
Julia took to Instagram to thank the detective upon arriving in the United States and said, "Thanks for the extra protection I love you USA. Welcome to USA Julia - the land of love and dreams".
