PRAGUE, EUROPE: Yara Zaya and her spouse, Jovi Dufren, are diametrically opposed. "This wasn't part of the plan, I feel like her mom is influencing her," Jovi says as Yara drops an international real estate bomb on him in Sunday's episode of '90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?'

In previous episodes, the Kyiv resident expressed her wish to go to Europe to meet her mother, who was forced to flee Ukraine during the Russian invasion. Jovi, on the other hand, tried his best to persuade his wife to postpone her plans until he could join her. In the most recent episode, Yara eventually flew to Prague with her husband and children. However, Jovi became uneasy when he discovered that she was not looking forward to returning to the United States.

In an exclusive sneak peek from Sunday's episode, the pair is getting ready for the day while in Prague visiting Yara's mom. Jovi nonchalantly asks his wife about her plans for the day while daughter Mylah babbles in the background, and is surprised to find she wants to go apartment hunting. "I talked with my mom yesterday, and she was telling me she would really like me over here, so we're going to check some apartments here," Yara adds. "Apartments? For what?" Jovi inquires, then dismisses Prague as "random."

Yara responds, "Random place? This is not a random place, this is the place where my mom lived for so many years." Jovi reminds his wife that she should have addressed such a significant decision with him, especially if this was her intention all along. "This wasn't my intention," Yara says. "My mom sent me places, and I just want to go and check. What's wrong with that?"
"Oh so your mom is the problem here," Jovi says. "This wasn't part of the plan, I feel like her mom is influencing her," he admits in a confessional. He goes on, "It's nothing we've talked about, we didn't say, 'Oh hey, let's plan a trip to Europe and go apartment hunting.' I don't want her mom to be, like, trying to make decisions for her."

Back in the room, Jovi claims his mother warned him that Yara would want to stay in Europe, and "and now it seems like that's becoming a reality." "Jovi, I'm not staying in Europe, I just want to check the place and that's it," Yara responds."I don't know, I'd really like to be closer to my family. Everybody's coming here right now, and I feel like they will need my support."

Jovi reminds Yara how much work it took to establish their family's existence in the United States — and that one of the requirements for her green card is that she stay in the United States 180 days out of the year. "You can't just get up and live in Europe," he says. "For you to even be considering this right now is kind of crazy to me. You agreed to come to the U.S. and start a new life in the U.S."

Yara becomes enraged and reminds her husband that she cannot return to her native Ukraine. "So what? You want to tell me I'm doing something stupid?" she inquires, before stating that she can pay for the flat with her own money. "We're a family," Jovi explains, "and it doesn't matter what you're doing, you need to talk to me before you try to make some decision like that without me."

Yara and her mother Olga discussed their future plans and ambitions to reside in Prague at the small family gathering. "We’ve only been here few hours with my mom, and it’s making me honestly want to stay here for a longer time," the '90 Day Fiance' star said in her confessional. Yara went on to say that she probably doesn't want to return to America and would like to spend more time with her family. While many ''90 Day Fiance' viewers were stunned by Yara's statements, there are a few reasons why she doesn't want to return to the United States just yet. Yara's mother explained that if she chose refugee status in America, she would be unable to return home for the next ten years. Since Yara cannot bring her mother to America, she must remain in Europe if she wishes to be near her. Yara's homesickness is another major reason she wants to stay in Europe.

'90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?' airs Sundays at 8 pm ET on TLC and Discovery+.
