Josh Hartnett married longtime girlfriend Tamsin Egerton in secret, low-key ceremony
Actor Josh Hartnett and his long-term girlfriend Tamsin Egerton reportedly got married in a secret ceremony last year. The 43-year-old and his partner Tamsin have been together for over 10 years now and allegedly tied the knot back on Guy Fawkes Night, November 5, this past year at Marylebone Town Hall in London. The couple reportedly had an intimate ceremony with just 12 people attending it. A close friend of the pair revealed “They're as loved up as ever and wanted to make it official in a low-key affair, with their close family and friends.”
Just last year, the ‘Pearl Harbour’ fame actor spoke about life with Tamsin and their kids. He said that they are really protective of their private life, and have not even revealed the names of their children publicly for the very same reason. Hartnett, however, confirmed the arrival of their third child to Mr Porter magazine in January this year.

In a candid conversation with the digital magazine, Harnett talked about his family life and told that he has always prioritized his loved ones over his acting career as he said being a father is the proudest moment of his life, “The thing I am most proud of is that I'm a father of three and I have a good relationship with my partner and a great family life and I'm still able to do good work and, as I've got older, the characters have become more interesting,” Josh told the digital publication.
The ’30 Days of Night’ star didn’t really go into detail about what his life with Tamsin and the kids looked like during the Covid-19 lockdown. “We've been trying to keep them occupied as best we can, but it's a lot of work and it takes both of us all day and by the end of it all we want to do is reach for a bottle of wine and go to sleep.”
Hartnett also talked in detail about his desire to avoid being drawn into the glamourous Hollywood lifestyle and admitted to prioritizing having “a life” over fame. He said “A lot of people get caught in that trap, but I feel very strongly about friends I've known for a long time and my family. I wanted to make sure I wasn't losing those relationships. Those people make me who I am. I put those concerns ahead of chasing a Hollywood dream.”
Hartnett doesn't like to run with the Hollywood crowd and he has no qualms in letting go of big projects even. The actor who is currently starring in Sky Atlantic drama 'The Fear Index', famously snubbed the role of Superman in a three-movie deal reputedly worth over $100 million. "It was the best thing for my mental health and my career to keep Hollywood at bay," he said at the time.
The couple first met on the set of ‘The Lovers’ back in 2010 but reportedly didn't become a thing until their 2012 film ‘Singularity’, where they starred opposite each other again. The couple has not shared anything and is yet to officially announce the news of their wedding with the rest of the world.
In fact, Tamsin said some four years ago that she and Hartnett plan to marry when their children got older. She had said: "Marriage is something that’s going to happen, but we’re focusing on children at the moment. “The kids are very young - one just turned one and the other one is two-and-half.
“It’s hard when Josh goes away to work. We miss him, but you make it work.”
