The Lies of Eleanor Williams: Man falsely accused of rape is 'destroyed' she still has believers
CUMBRIA, ENGLAND: A young father who attempted suicide after being falsely accused of rape by serial liar and fantasist Eleanor Williams has now said he is "destroyed" because there are "still believers on her side," even though she is in jail. Williams, then 19, falsely accused Jordan Trengove of drugging and raping her after they met in a nightclub in March 2019. She also alleged he came to her flat and threatened and attacked her with a knife. Trengove subsequently spent 73 days in prison in a sex offenders wing.
Believing Williams' lies, many locals smashed the then 22-year-old Trengove's window and spray-painted the word "rapist" across his home. Williams has been jailed for eight-and-a-half years after she was found guilty of eight counts of perverting the course of justice. Trengove has now said she thinks she "should get life in prison". Williams made false rape allegations against five men, but her motive remains unknown.

'She's destroyed many lives, not only mine'
Trengove allegedly attempted suicide in front of his mother but survived. Locals in Barrow-in-Furness, he said, began to believe Williams's allegations against him. "She was getting so much support and there was so much grief," Trengove told The Sun. "I wanted away from it all. I took an overdose but survived. Even now there are still believers on her side. This destroyed us all.”
In a separate interview on Talk TV's 'Piers Morgan Uncensored,' Trengove said he thinks Williams should have been given a life sentence. He said he was told by his solicitor that he could have faced up to 22 years in prison had he been found guilty of the allegations, and noted that in contrast, Williams got only eight-and-a-half years. "She's destroyed many lives, not only mine," Trengove said. "So she should have her life took away from her." Trengove said he is now "taking steps to rebuild [his] life" but the incident continues to heavily affect him.

In March 2019, Trengove and Williams met at a nightclub while on a night out with his friends. The meeting was brief. Williams later went on to claim that Trengove had sexually assaulted her that night. At the time of the alleged assault, Trengove had been picked up by cops in connection to a completely unrelated argument at a taxi rank.
Trengove was arrested in May 2019 after Williams made a second complaint. He said his arrest came even after he had "probably the most solid alibi." He was cleared after being held on remand for ten weeks in a sex offenders wing, the Daily Mail reported.
Williams falsely accused several men and claimed to have been the victim of an Asian grooming gang. The Preston Crown Court was told during a three-month trial that she lied and falsified evidence. Setting up false social media accounts, she doctored profiles of completely innocent men. She even posted pictures of her injuries on social media after attacking herself with a hammer.
