Jon Voight praises daughter Angelina Jolie for being a 'great' mom to her kids: 'She's always involved with them'
Nobody can deny that Angelina Jolie is a great mommy, including her formerly estranged father Jon Voight.
In a recent interview while attending the seventh annual Gold Meets Golden — a pre- Golden Globes party, the Academy Award-winning actor had nothing but good things to share about his famous daughter's parenting style and her relationship with her children.
The actor revealed some of the things that make Angelina a great mother on Saturday, January 4. He said, "She loves her kids, she's always involved with them, always concerned for them."
He added, "She monitors everything. She's great." The 44-year-old actress shares six children with her ex-husband Brad Pitt. Her six children include 18-year-old Maddox, 15-year-old Pax, 14-year-old Zahara, 13-year-old Shiloh, and 11-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
Yahoo reported that the 81-year-old actor shared some of the lessons he learned after becoming a grandfather to his six children.
Voight claimed that his biggest take away as a grandfather is that "every child is unique, and they all have something special, and what you want to do is provide them with the tools to express that".
The proud grandfather touched upon his oldest grandson — Maddox's time in South Korea. Voight revealed the nickname given to Maddox by his friends at University.
Apparently the youngster is called "Duck Sue". When the interviewer asked him the reason behind the nickname, the actor replied that he didn't know but felt that it was a "cute" name.
He said, "but it’s a cute thing, isn’t it? If we had somebody from another country here, and we give them a name, we may come up with something clever." Maddox is currently pursuing a degree in biochemistry from Yonsei University in South Korea. He started school in August 2019.
Angelina and her father had a strained relationship for several years before Brad Pitt got them both to reconcile for the sake of their children in 2010.
