Pamela Anderson's ex Jon Peters gets engaged to Julia Bernheim three weeks after ending their 12-day marriage
Film producer Jon Peters has got engaged to Julia Bernheim, according to reports. The development came as Neptune Wellness CEO Michael Cammarata rang the NASDAQ Closing Bell on Thursday, February 20, where Peters, an investor in Neptune Wellness, attended as a guest of Cammarata.
What's more? The news of Peters' engagement also comes less than three weeks after his split from Pamela Anderson, reports Us Magazine.
The 52-year-old former Baywatch star married the producer on January 20 in Malibu. However, they announced their split less than two weeks later.
“I have been moved by the warm reception to Jon and my union. We would be very grateful for your support as we take some time apart to re-evaluate what we want from life and from one another,” the actress told The Hollywood Reporter on February 1. “Life is a journey and love is a process. With that universal truth in mind, we have mutually decided to put off the formalization of our marriage certificate and put our faith in the process. Thank you for respecting our privacy.”
Peters ended their relationship via text message just 11 days after their wedding. “This whole marriage thing … has scared me," he told Anderson.
“It made me realize that at 74 I need a simple quiet life and not an international love affair," he continued. "Therefore, I think the best thing we can do is that I’m going to go away for a couple of days and maybe you need to go back up to Canada we did it. The world knows we did it and I think now we need to go our own separate ways. I hope that you can forgive me… I love you… I want to be in your life forever.”
The blonde beauty wrote in response, "I forgive you," alongside a kiss emoticon.
Although Anderson and Peters took the holy vows, they never obtained a marriage license to make their union official, a source told Us Weekly.
Peters was married to Henrietta Zampitella from 1962 to 1966. He then tied the knot with Lesley Ann Warren and the pair had one son together.
In 1974, Peters met Barbra Streisand during For Pete's Sake and the duo embarked on a 12-year relationship. He then married Christine Forsyth-Peters in 1987 and they had two daughters together before eventually parting ways in 1993. He was then married to Mindy Peters from 2001 to 2004.
