Who's Mark Bontempo? JoJo Siwa introduces her 'dream' boyfriend, dances with him in the latest TikTok video
The coronavirus pandemic sent the world into lockdown this year. While cooped away at home, people have discovered their new talents in art, cooking, writing or music, performer JoJo Siwa found love.
The teenage Internet sensation took to Instagram and announced that she's in a relationship with Mark Bontempo. If you're wondering who Mark is and why his last name sounds familiar, it's because he is the younger brother of social media star Madison Bontempo. Mark has over 17,000 followers and runs a second Instagram account where he uploads videos of him singing and playing the guitar. JoJo took to TikTok over the weekend and confirmed the news about her new boyfriend with an aww-dorable video. "Meet Mark," she captioned her post, along with a smiley face. She tagged Mark in the video which made fans even more excited.
In the video, the couple, wearing each other's clothes, danced to 'Famous (I'm the One)'. JoJo looked rad in Mark's skinny jeans, a cream-colored sweater, black jacket and dad hat. Mark didn't hold back at all and went full out with her closet which included a glittery bow, bedazzled jacket, multicolored skirt, pink tights and matching over-the-top sneakers. Couple goals, indeed. Mark shared a video where he reacted to another video that JoJo uploaded of herself doing the “Put a Finger Down” challenge. When the audio asked “put a finger down if you’re currently single”, JoJo does not put her finger down, and Mark pans the camera around so that everyone can see he is with JoJo. His TikTok was captioned: “@itsjojosiwa if it’s not me you have some explaining to do,” alongside the hashtag #nationalgirlfriendday.”
Just earlier this month, JoJo was asked about her "dream boyfriend". "I already have it but next would be Derek Shepard or Zac Efron," she said not revealing her new boyfriend's identity. She had said that she wanted to keep this part of her life private. "Do I have any secrets? Yes. Actually the other day I was priding myself on how honest I am with the world and how I have no secrets. And then I was like, 'Um, but what about a few of my things?' A couple of secrets," she explained, to which her mom said, "Your boyfriend?" "He's amazing and I couldn't have imagined anyone better," JoJo answered.
In June, JoJo had said it was up to her boyfriend if he wanted to reveal his identity to the world. "I'm really in the public light and the thing is like, I don't care," she continued. "That's a side of my life that I can keep public or I can keep private." "Honestly he's a dream," she added. "Really, truly unreal and I'm so happy." It seems as if the two have been planning to make this announcement for a while now, as several Instagram posts of Mark Bontempo had thinly-veiled hints and he had ominously written, "Stay tuned..."
Well, now the two have gone public with their romance, so here's wishing them all the luck and love in the world.
