'Still in shock': Johnny Depp reacts to Amber Heard defamation verdict as he poses with fans during Jeff Beck gig
Johnny Depp told UK fans that he was "still in shock" about winning his sensational defamation trial against Amber Heard.
The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star, 58, traveled to the UK to join rock guitarist Jeff Beck, 77, for a series of gigs before the verdict of his defamation suit was announced. Depp played at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on Friday, June 3, before heading to Manchester's O2 Apollo arena for another gig on Saturday, June 4. Depp greeted fans in Glasgow just hours after learning he had won his case against his ex-wife Heard.

The Hollywood star appeared in good spirits as he greeted well-wishers after the Gateshead concert, signing autographs and posing for selfies with fans who had waited by the stage door for hours to see him leave. As they congratulated the actor on winning the case, the 'Donnie Brasco' star said, "Thank you, I'm still in shock a little." He also joked about the finger Heard allegedly severed during an altercation they had in Australia. Smiling widely as he signed the autographs, the star leaned down and pointed at a little boy's fingers, saying, "You have five, I have four and seven eighths. Mad."

Depp testified during the trial that Heard "had thrown a bottle of vodka and cut my finger off. The tip of my finger. A good chunk." He added with a brief smile, "I miss it." 30-year-old Jay Phillips, who was standing near the child when Depp joked about his finger, said the actor was "humble and sincere, constantly thanking everyone." Phillips, a dog groomer from Gateshead, told the Daily Mail, "He's a very sweet and kind man. Not many A-list celebs would stand greeting fans in the rain. The child asked about Captain Jack and Johnny proceeded to tell him a story about it and asked the kid for a high five."
Depp was cheered as he entered the stage earlier that night, after winning his lawsuit against ex-wife Heard. As he was greeted with rapturous applause from the audience, Beck quipped, "There's someone here. You may not know who it is..." The acclaimed musician then referenced Depp's court victory as he remarked, "What a result. What a result!" Depp looked genuinely happy as he played guitar and sang a selection of rock ballads with his rockstar pal, who he met five years ago.
The actor left the stage to another round of applause from the crowd before he returned for an encore, in which the duo played The Beatles' song 'A Day in the Life.' Depp and Beck embraced after that performance. The guitarist revealed to the audience they had collaborated on an album that was "coming out in July" and added, "Really, the s*** he has been through."
Following his court victory, Depp took to Instagram and thanked the jury for giving him his "life back." He said that he owed the trial to his children. "From the very beginning, the goal of bringing this case was to reveal the truth, regardless of the outcome. Speaking the truth was something that I owed to my children and to all those who have remained steadfast in their support of me. I feel at peace knowing I have finally accomplished that," he wrote.
