Johnny Depp's popularity PLUNGES as celebs 'unlike' star's victory post after court docs unsealed
HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA: Several Hollywood celebrities including Sophie Turner, Bella Hadid, and Robert Downey Jr have ‘unliked’ Johnny Depp’s Instagram post celebrating his victory in the defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard. Depp sued Heard for $50 million after she wrote a 2018 op-ed for the Washington Post claiming she was a survivor of domestic abuse. She did not publicly name Depp but the actor claimed the allegations impacted his ability to work.
According to Mirror, newly unsealed court documents from Depp's defamation lawsuit against Heard have revealed a number of new cross accusations and allegations that both parties were prevented from flinging at each other two months after the actor successfully won his libel case against his ex-wife. It's reported that unsealed pretrial court documents claim that the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor, 59, allegedly wanted to submit his former wife's nude pictures as evidence during the high-profile trial earlier this year while Heard was equally prevented from making allegations against Depp.

Johnny Depp accuses Amber Heard of 'reimagining' trial in NBC interview instead of moving on
In June, a court awarded $10 million in damages to Depp after finding that the 2018 newspaper column penned by Heard was defamatory. Heard, who counter-sued, was awarded $2 million in compensatory damages, but no punitive damages.
After he won the trial, he shared an official statement on his Instagram and said “Six years ago, my life, the life of my children, the lives of those closest to me, and also, the lives of the people, who for many, many years have supported and believed in me were forever changed. All in the blink of an eye. False, very serious, and criminal allegations were levied at me via the media, which triggered an endless barrage of hateful content, although no charges were ever brought against me. It had already travelled around the world twice within a nanosecond and it had a seismic impact on my life and my career. And six years later, the jury gave my life back. I am truly humbled.”
His post garnered over 19 million likes, many from celebrities who showed their support for the actor. However, Twitter and Reddit users have discovered that recently some celebrities including Turner, Hadid, have begun to unlike the statement posted on Depp's Instagram, according to the same news outlet.
Although Depp maintained throughout the trial that he never abused Heard, the documents show that the couple’s therapist confirmed Heard was a victim of “intimate partner violence”. Jezebel reported that they also revealed texts from Depp and his assistant that almost confirmed Heard’s allegations that her ex-husband kicked and punched her on a private plane. The previously sealed documents showed that Depp’s legal team had planned to use nude photos of Heard to paint her as a sex worker, crude text messages between Depp and Marilyn Manson and the fact that Heard willingly walked away from a small fortune in divorce proceedings.
