Johnny Depp once burst into hysterical laughter after his plane shut down: ‘Oh s**t! This is death!’
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Amid intense speculation about Johnny Depp's comeback to the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' franchise, there are rumors of a massive $20 million paycheck. Nevertheless, sources indicate that Depp has permanently severed ties with Disney, due to their decision to drop him after Amber Heard accused him of abuse. His friends said, "They blind-dropped him even though Amber had lied her a** off."
However, in another surprising revelation, Depp shared a chilling incident involving a near-plane crash that left him and director Bruce Robinson in a state of panic. While onboard a private jet en route to Los Angeles, the engines suddenly cut out, leading to a tense moment of silence and uncertainty. Recounting the incident, the 'Rum Diary' star stated, "The plane just shut down. The sound of the engines stopped."
'I guess this is how it goes down!'
Depp added, "There was silence... It was like this weird extended moment when you're just floating for a second and you could feel this unpleasant descent. Nobody said a word except for Bruce and I, sitting next to each other saying, 'Oh s**t! This is death; I guess this is how it goes down.' As fear loomed, Depp and Robinson found solace in an unexpected reaction. Depp recalled, "Then we burst into hysterical laughter at the idea that this was how we were going to die."
Fortunately, the engines eventually restarted, allowing the plane to ascend, providing immense relief to the shaken passengers. Despite his close encounter with death, Depp approaches the concept with a blend of curiosity and introspection. While not subscribing to a particular religious belief, he ponders the existence of a higher power. “I mean, I’m a pedestrian,” he said. “I believe in where we are right now – just. There are all kinds of angles, right? Is there a god? I don’t know. Have you seen him? I haven’t seen him.”

Depp acknowledges that thoughts of mortality occasionally cross his mind, prompting him to reflect on his legacy and whether he feels fulfilled. “I think about it occasionally, you know, with regard to where I am today in my life and if I were to be taken away, do I feel complete, is there anything haranguing me that I must do before then? And no, you know? I have two amazing kids and a very privileged life, so if the time came, toodaloo,” he said.

Apart from the near-plane crash, the actor has talked about severe injuries which resulted from a heated altercation with his ex-wife, Amber Heard. Depp alleged that during a discussion regarding a post-nuptial agreement, Heard unleashed a furious outburst, throwing bottles that caused a shard of glass to sever his finger. The aftermath involved three surgeries and three instances of contracting MRSA, posing a grave threat to Depp's life. Expressing his fears, Depp stated, "I feared that I would lose my finger, my arm, and my life."
