The most talked-about trial in the world right now is finally nearing its end. Johnny Depp sued Amber Heard for $50 million in a defamation suit and after six weeks of grilling, arguments, and accusations, the jury began deliberation on Friday, May 17, 2022. On the final day of the trial, the lawyers from both parties delivered their closing statements. Camille Vasquez, who is a strong member of Depp's legal team, has become a star herself and has gained a huge fan following since the trial began.

Camille Vasquez has grilled Amber Heard on several occasions and the Depp's fans loved her for that. Depp's fans have shown her a lot of support over the past couple of weeks and are glad that Vasquez was by Depp's side. Some fans have also adored the actor's and his attorney's in-court "chemistry", swooning over the pictures and videos of them together. Vasquez urged the jury to "give Johnny his life back" as he has been fighting for it for nearly six years. She also slammed Amber Heard and her fake crying, calling it the "performance of a lifetime", and earned herself some well-deserved praise. Following her closing arguments, Depp made sure to make her feel appreciated by giving her a hug and a head pat and thanking her in a respectful way for being his voice. Depp's fans took to social media to express how much they are loving how lawyers Ben Chew and Camille Vasquez have gone the extra mile to defend their favorite star.

One fan tweeted, "Johnny thanking camille. this is so cute. i’m so proud of her #camillevasquez #johnnydepp #justiceforjohnnydepp."

Another Depp fan appreciated Vasquez and wrote, "When you go into battle you are always flanked by your strongest warriors. They stood, by his side, and fought valiantly. Camille Vasquez's closing statement

Depp's lawyer ended the rebuttal closing statement by arguing, "While you deliberate, ask yourselves why Mr Depp would put himself through this, expose every embarrassing detail of his life on national television. If he was guilty of anything, anything that Ms Heard accuses him of, we ask you, we implore you to render a verdict [for] Mr Depp. We ask you to set the record straight that he is not the abuser she described and that she is not the heroic survivor she portrayed."

Vasquez tried to persuade the jury into seeing the bigger picture. She added, "You either believe all of it or none of it. Either Mr Depp assaulted Ms Heard with a bottle in Australia, or Ms Heard got up on that stand, in front of all of you, and made up that horrific tale of abuse."

The deliberations for the defamation trial began on Friday afternoon. If the jury did not come to a decision by the end of the day, it is expected to return on Tuesday as it is a long holiday weekend.
