One person who has truly emerged as a star during the Johnny Depp-Amber Heard defamation trial is Depp's lawyer Camille Vasquez. She has gained an entire fanbase for brutally grilling Amber Heard during the trial. Now, that the trial is nearing its end, the legal teams of both parties geared up for their closing statements, including Vasquez. Depp's legal team brought forth the facts with the right amount of emotional touch during their closing arguments.

Vasquez reminded the jury about the same day six years ago -- May 27, 2016 -- when Heard filed for a no notice ex-parte restraining order against Depp and ruined his life by claiming that she was abused by him. Touching the right chord, Vasquez asked the jury to "give Mr Depp his life back." In the monologue, she also slammed Heard and her numerous shenanigans throughout the trial. The lawyer straight up called out Heard in the court for giving a 'performance of a lifetime'. She also pointed out that Heard was 'sobbing without tears' during the trial.

During her closing statement, Vasquez said, "She came into this courtroom prepared to give the performance of her life, and she gave it. Ms Heard's acting coach Christina Sexton testified that Ms Heard has difficulty crying when she is acting. You saw it, Ms Heard sobbing without tears while spinning elaborate, exaggerated, fantastical accounts of abuse."

Vasquez delicately presented to the jury that everything Heard ever said during her time in court was nothing but an exaggerated lie. She went on to say that Heard wants the jury to see Depp as an abuser and a rapist. She said, "It was a performance. She told you what she thinks you need to hear to convict this man as a domestic abuser and a rapist. She wants you to believe she was abused countless times. Countless times over the entire course of their relationship. But as Mr Chew and I promised you, the evidence just does not bear that out."

To prove her point even further, Vasquez played a recording where the 'Aquaman' actress confessed that she hit Depp. Vasquez added, "What you didn't hear in a single recording you heard in this case ... is Mr Depp ever admitting to hitting, punching or kicking Ms Heard. You didn't hear it. It doesn't exist. It didn't happen." Vasquez claimed the heart of the case to be nothing but a big lie that "Mr Depp is an abusive monster."
