John Travolta wishes dads a happy Father's Day while snuggled up with children Ella and Ben

John Travolta and his late wife, actress Kelly Preston, had another son, Jett, who died in 2009

OCALA, FLORIDA: John Travolta wished fathers across the world a happy Father's Day while snuggling with his two children, Ella, 23, and Ben, 12. "Happy Father’s Day to all the dedicated fathers," the 'Saturday Night Fever' star wrote in the caption on the Instagram post on Sunday, June 18. The picture shows the 69-year-old actor lounging on a couch at home with his children.

The family's pet pooch, Peanut, previously referred to as Mac N Cheese, joined in the fun by taking a seat on the 'Pulp Fiction' actor's lap. His late wife, actress Kelly Preston who died in July 2020 after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018, was the mother of both of Travolta's children.

The delighted father was seen in the picture sitting between his two children, wearing a black t-shirt and blue pants. Ella, an actress and singer, was wearing a black cardigan over a black and white top, and dark-colored leggings. Ben grinned broadly as he sat next to his father in blue shorts and a yellow t-shirt. Peanut seemed happy to be on Travolta's lap.

Fans praised Travolta with many calling him "devoted father." "Happy Father’s Day to a devoted dad !! Ella and Ben are lucky to have you as a father!!" a fan wrote. Another fan said, "Great father." A third noted, "Happy Father’s Day John!! So much to be proud of!!" "What a guy. Perfect in every way. Great Dad being #1. Xo?" a third wrote. Another wrote, "I love your family. You and Kelly raised some lovely kids! Happy Father’s Day!"

Preston died on July 12, 2020, in her Clearwater, Florida, home at the age of 57. The 'Grease' actor had uploaded a video of his late wife accepting a present for Mother's Day with the caption, "Happy Mother’s Day Kelly. We miss you and love you! Love, Ben, Ella and John."

Travolta and Preston had another son, Jett, who died in 2009 when the family was on vacation in the Bahamas. Later that year, after the coroner's office disclosed that Jett's death was partly caused by a seizure, the parents disclosed that he had autism and had experienced many seizures throughout the course of his life.
