OCALA, FLORIDA: John Travolta, the iconic 'Pulp Fiction' star, is reportedly contemplating dating again as he seeks to heal from the heartbreak caused by the death of his beloved wife, Kelly Preston, in 2020. Sources close to the 69-year-old actor have revealed that the constant badgering from family and friends has finally convinced him to embrace life and let go of the burden he has been carrying.

Since Kelly's tragic death and the loss of their autistic son, Jett, in 2009, Travolta has been a deeply shattered man. He has been consumed by the idea of reuniting with them in the afterlife. According to insiders, since she died, he has been celibate, unable and unwilling to entertain the thought of dating or falling in love again.

'Kelly would have wanted to see him happy'

However, sources as per RadarOnline, mentioned that Travolta is starting to realize that his late wife, as well as their dear friends including Kirstie Alley, would not want him to suffer. "Kelly would have wanted to see him happy," revealed an insider before adding "It's the single thought that's driving him at this point — that and being strong and healthy and happy for his kids, Ella and Benjamin. Being alone won't help that!"

John, Ella, and Benjamin smiled warmly in a touching family portrait that was posted on Instagram in honor of Father's Day, highlighting the strong relationship they share with each other. In his social media posts, Travolta frequently includes his children, highlighting their successes and showing his affection towards them. Following in her father's footsteps, Ella has pursued a career in acting and she has even appeared in movies like 'Old Dogs' and 'The Poison Rose'.

John and Kelly were married for over 28 years

After meeting on the 'The Experts' set in 1989, John and Kelly were married for more than 28 years. Together, the couple welcomed three children. In 1992, they had their first child, Jett, and then Ella and Benjamin, in 2000 and 2010 respectively. The Travolta family suffered a terrible loss when Jett died at the age of 16 after having a seizure while vacationing in the Bahamas. Even though Jett's troubles were rarely discussed in public by John and Kelly, his untimely death had a significant influence on their lives.
