John Travolta and Kelly Preston celebrate 28th wedding anniversary with romantic dinner and tributes to each other
John Travolta and Kelly Preston are still deeply in love after twenty-eight years of marriage, with the couple celebrating their wedding anniversary on Thursday. The pair shared an endearing picture of a romantic meal together on Instagram and wrote tributes to each other on social media on the occasion.
The 65-year-old actor shared an image of hugging his wife at the dinner, and wrote in the caption: "Happy Anniversary to my wonderful wife @therealkellypreston."
The 56-year-old actress also took to Instagram and shared a picture of the two, writing a touching note to Travolta. Preston wrote: "To my dearest Johnny, the most wonderful man I know. You have given me hope when I have felt lost, loved me patiently and unconditionally… made me laugh harder than any other human being possible… shared the most beautiful highs and at times lows."
"You’re a dream Daddio and make life so much fun!! I trust my love with you implicitly… with you I know I will always be okay no matter what happens… I love you forever and completely. Happy 28th Anniversary @johntravolta," she added.
Travolta then commented on Preston's post with: "I love you so much Kelly! Thank you for all your love and for being such a wonderful wife and mother @therealkellypreston."
Preston, last year in June, while talking to Andy Cohen during Watch What Happens Live! had revealed how she fell in love with her husband, saying that she was smitten by Travolta while she was married to actor Kevin Gage. "I was not that happily married, let’s put it that way," she said. "I was really with the wrong person."
When Cohen asked the actress what was the best and the worst part of being married to Travolta, she replied with: "There’s too many best things. His lips, dancing, fun, laughing. [We dance] all the time, all the time. The kids dance with us, we go out dancing. We love it."
The pair got married in 1991 and share three children together: daughter Ella Bleu, 19, and son Benjamin, 8, their 16-year-old son Jett died in 2009.
