"Matthew and I had been friendly long before Friends," Stamos wrote and continued, "So, when I guest stared as Zach, the prospective sperm donor for Chandler and Monica, I hung with him a lot."
He then recounted a moment that showcased Perry's kindness. "Standing backstage, ready to make my entrance, Matt whispers, 'The audience is going go crazy when they see you! Get ready for some loud screams.' I walk through the door… silence. I was so embarrassed," Stamos shared.
However, Perry quickly came to his rescue as Stamos shared, "We finish the scene and as I start to slither back to my dressing room and quit showbiz, Matt walks over to the studio audience: 'Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for John Stamos! You guys probably didn’t recognize him at first because he’s so much better looking in person!'"
The actor concluded the post saying, "I never forgot that and the world will never forget you."

Another thanked him for the memory saying, "Thank you John! From all the 30-40 yr olds that watched FRIENDS season after season and waited for the commercials w/ the special guest cuts to be televised. You were flawless in this role! Thank you sir sharing this amazing memory! RIP - Mathew Perry."
One fan loved the tribute as they wrote, "Thank you for this anecdote which shows us once again what a generous person Matthew was."
Another fan sympathized with Stamos saying, "I’ll bet he never wanted anyone to feel how he did. I’ll bet that’s why he said that and did that. I watched Matty talk in a clip about how if he didn’t get “the” laugh from the audience- he thought he’d die."
The user added, "He hated not getting the laugh. And I’m wondering if he projected that onto you; and I’m wondering if that’s why he went out of his way to make sure that you got the love you deserved."
"He never wanted anyone to feel like he did. That’s probably what made him the most incredible Friend. I’m so sorry for such a loss, John. I’m so very sorry," the fan concluded.
