LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: John Stamos admitted that he got vexed when Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen decided not to appear in Netflix sitcom 'Fuller House'. Although the 59-year-old actor was initially angry over the 36-year-old twin sisters' decision not to take part in the reboot of their classic 1990s sitcom 'Full House', he later disclosed that following co-star Bob Saget's death in 2022, he reconnected with the twins.

Saget, who portrayed the character Danny Tanner on 'Full House' and its sequel 'Fuller House', died at the age of 65 after blunt head trauma. Stamos recalled that he and the twin fashion designers came together to mourn the loss of the comedian and arrived at his house with a peace offering to bury the hatchet.

What did John Stamos say?

"I gotta tell you, one of the only good things to come out of Bob's [death] Well... Mary-Kate and Ashley, we didn't see them much. I mean, we stayed in touch a little bit, but Bob really did. And they were so great," he said on the 'And That's What You REALLY Missed' podcast, according to Daily Mail. "You hear rumors, 'Oh, they hated their childhood, or they hated being on the show or whatever. When I did Fuller House, they didn't wanna come back. And I was angry for a minute. And that got out."

Stamos also stated that the twin sisters said that they missed their on-screen dad before coming over to his home and bringing "a pork chop and sage." "I don't know why, but thank you? It was a frozen pork chop, so that was really nice. So we stayed very close," he said.

'Bob was the most loving, compassionate and generous man'

"Bob was the most loving, compassionate and generous man. We are deeply saddened that he is no longer with us but know that he will continue to be by our side to guide us as gracefully as he always has", the twins said in a statement following Saget's death. "We are thinking of his daughters, wife and family and are sending our condolences," the two concluded of their late on-screen father.

When 'Full House' premiered on ABC in 1987, the Olsen twins were just one year old and were cast to play the role of baby Michelle on the sitcom. The sisters eventually became one of the most famous celebrities in America after 8 eight seasons. They used the fame to their advantage, turning it into a multi-million dollar business and marketing a string of products using their names and likeness including dolls, perfume, clothes and books.
