CHICAGO, ILLINOIS: John Cusack shared what he thought about the submarine loss as he said the incident "doesn't seem tragic" to him. According to the US Coast Guard, all five passengers died in just seconds after the submersible, Titan, suffered a "catastrophic implosion". The implosion took place just 1,600 ft from the bow of the Titanic.

On Sunday, June 18, the exploration of the Titanic wreckage site by the OceanGate expedition began, and the search for the submersible started after it lost signal. The OceansExpeditions is the only company that transports tourists to the Titanic wreckage 370 miles off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada with tickets costing $250,000.

Cusack says it is tragic when 'innocent people die'

Cusack took to Twitter to share his unfiltered thoughts about the Titanic submersible loss. "I like the adventure spirit - but if someone dies climbing Mount Everest - it doesn't seem tragic to me - sad yes - but tragic to me is when innocent people die who had no choice," tweeted the 'Serendipity' actor.

The 56-year-old actor further retweeted a story about how the submarine passengers received "wall-to-wall" coverage but there is no coverage about the 700 people who died after sinking off the coast of Greece. "If only - we cared about all human beings as much as we cared about wealthy ones," Cusack added above the retweeted story.

Commenting on the search on Twitter, Cusack appeared to reference the migrant boat that recently sank off Greece, leaving 78 dead and hundreds missing.

“All I can think is refugees capsize no one cares - some billionaires on joy rides go missing - it seems like multiple navy’s are instantly searching,” the 56-year-old posted.

Celebrities who have voiced their opinions on the tragedy

Cusack was not the only celebrity who publicly addressed the tragedy and its associated issues. After the news of the search for the crew members began, billionaire passenger Hamish Harding's stepson Brian Szasz posted about the missing of his stepfather and the same day he shared pictures of himself attending the Blink-182 concert amid the rescue operation. Szasz faced backlash online for attending a show amid the rescue operation and Cardi B was one among the critics who slammed his decision.

"The point was the whole world is praying for these people in the submarine and this man's son is online shaking d***k for girls off only fans and going to Blink 182 concerts. You were looking for clout all along, nobody knew who you were until you said that was your stepdad!!! This is why people hate you spoiled brat billionaires you all so desensitize!", Cardi B tweeted.

Voicing her confusion about the crew members going onboard the vessel, reality star Bethenny Frankel asked, "Who goes into a submarine that's not Jacques Cousteau?".

"You want to be adventurous? Drink four margaritas and see what happens. Try a bathing suit on without your underwear. Go to Burning Man dressed as a parakeet, I don't know, but going on a submarine? Jumping out of airplanes, riding motorcycles, swimming with sharks. All of these things seem like a bad idea," she said in a video.
