AUSTIN, TEXAS: Joe Rogan's podcast, 'The Joe Rogan Experience', has featured guests from various backgrounds. Originally started in 2009 as a platform for Rogan and his friends to share jokes and interact with fans, the podcast has grown to attract guests who have experienced extraordinary lives.

The long-form nature, lack of censorship, and uninterrupted discussion make JRE an ideal platform for those who have experienced remarkable events.

Top 5 craziest moments from Joe Rogan's 'The Joe Rogan Experience'

1. False imprisonment of Nick Yarris for rape

Nick Yarris, who was wrongly imprisoned for the 1981 rape and murder of Linda Mae Craig, recalled his experiences in Episode 1171 of 'JRE'. He was wrongfully sentenced to death and was forced to confess to being the murderer.

Yarris developed his language and speaking skills in prison but he was also subjected to violence. Yarris took part in a gladiatorial tournament in jail one day to release his frustrations.

2.  Seven-year-old masturbating

In an episode with Chuck Palahniuk, Rogan and the 'Fight Club' author discussed censorship in literature and its impact on his writing. Palahniuk shared the tragic story about a woman who discovered masturbation at seven and became popular.

Palahniuk, however, stated that her mother discovered her and began beating her, calling her a "whore." The woman, empowered by Palahniuk's writing, had never had an orgasm since her mother beat her.

The story highlighted the need for limiting censorship on his works and allowing readers to relate their own experiences to the stories.

3. Anger of 'War Machine'

Jon "War Machine" Koppenhaver is serving a life sentence for assaulting Cody Thomas and ex-pornographic actress, Christy Mack. Mack sustained 18 broken teeth and a ruptured liver in the attack.

On the Episode 454 of 'JRE', Koppenhaver said that he dropped out of university after owing $15,000 in fees. After discovering her mother and her partner spent the money on drugs, he went into "berserk mode" and beat his mother's partner "almost to death." He severed ties with his family and began training in MMA.

4. Jaker Roberts reveals childhood abuse and addiction

Jake "The Snake" Roberts, a pro wrestling legend, once appeared on 'JRE' with comedian Tony Hinchliffe, sharing his childhood abuse and career struggles. The 1999 documentary, 'Beyond the Mat', captured Roberts' struggles with drug addiction and his abusive father.

Despite the trauma, Roberts was resurrected on the 'JRE' with the help of WWE alumn Diamond Dallas Page, showcasing his resilience and redemption.

5. David Goggins' challenging life

David Goggins, a former US Navy SEAL and ultramarathon runner, has a condition that leads him to possess an endless supply of motivation.

Goggins has achieved incredible feats of strength and endurance, including over 4000 pull-ups in one day, 205 miles in 39 hours, and winning the Infinitus 88k race.

Goggins' first appearance on the 'JRE' was remarkable because he shared his experiences of childhood abuse, escaping parental abuse and racism. His iron will was what set him apart from most people.
