Joe Rogan discusses historic nature of Great Britain's 'biggest bank robbery' involving Lee Murray: 'These guys had full-on tactical gear'

AUSTIN, TEXAS: Joe Rogan, a well-known podcaster and a UFC commentator recently discussed Lee Muray's "biggest bank robbery" on his podcast show, 'The Joe Rogan Experience.'
Lee Murray is one of the most infamous mixed martial arts fighters in history, with a career spanning just 12 fights. His penultimate bout took place in the UFC against Jorge Rivera.

Joe Rogan, who serves as the color commentator for the UFC, delved into the topic of Lee Murray, addressing the historical importance of the robbery and the potential creation of a movie based on it.
He also touched upon the fact that Murray remains incarcerated, remarking, "He was a part of the biggest bank robbery in, like, the history of Great Britain. It's, like, some f***ing lock, stock and two smoking barrels type s**t."
He said, "They're making a movie about it, Guy Ritchie is making a movie about Lee Murray. That's how wild this f***ing dude is. He's (Murray) still in jail right now."

The UFC commentator further added, "I think they stole like, $80 million, something crazy like that. These guys had full-on tactical gear, f***ing machine guns, the whole thing."
Unfortunately, some of the UFC's most prominent fighters have gained notoriety because of legal issues, making Lee Murray not the sole fighter who has had legal troubles.
Lee Murray's MMA victories in 12 bouts
Lee Murray had a relatively short-lived career as an MMA fighter, yet he displayed a certain level of skill. Out of a total of twelve bouts, he achieved eight wins, suffered two losses, had one draw, and one no-contest.
His initial professional loss occurred through an armbar submission delivered by the experienced MMA fighter Joe Doerksen. At this stage, Murray had only been finished once in his career.

In his pre-UFC days, Murray experienced his subsequent loss, which also happened to be his final fight, against the future MMA legend Anderson Silva.
The two competed for the Cage Rage middleweight championship, and Silva emerged victorious with a unanimous decision against Murray.
