CLEVELAND, OHIO: Joe Rogan, once again in the spotlight alongside Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor, recently credited Nurmagomedov as a formidable fighter in his latest podcast episode.

During the episode, Rogan emphasized Khabib's impressive record, stating, "He is 29 and 0." Further, he discussed one of the fights between Nurmagomedov and McGregor.

Adding context to their history, the Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Conor McGregor bout stands out as the largest event in UFC history.

The fight was marked by an intense build-up, typical for a Conor McGregor match. However, the rivalry between McGregor and Nurmagomedov surpassed expectations with its pure animosity.

The lack of mutual respect was evident, showcasing Nurmagomedov's dominance over his competition in the realm of MMA.

What did Joe Rogan say about Khabib Nurmagomedov and McGregor?

In a recent episode of his podcast, Joe Rogan delved into the remarkable career of the undefeated fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov.

As the reigning UFC lightweight champion, Nurmagomedov was widely recognized as one of the most intimidating fighters in the sport.

Rogan, offering his perspective on why Nurmagomedov has cemented his status as the 'Greatest of All Time' (GOAT), stated, “The conversation for the greatest of all time. Because it’s not even a matter of whether he lost because he never lost. he’s 29 and 0.”

Rogan also credited Nurmagomedov who was in his reign as champion. He stated, “It’s a matter of Did he ever lose a round?”

The seasoned commentator illustrated his point by referencing Nurmagomedov's bout against McGregor.

Rogan explained,  “He lost maybe one round in the Conor McGregor fight. Because in the Conor McGregor fight, he was, in one round, it looked like he was kind of taking a round off to really put the heat on him."

Rogan added, "It was slowing Connor down and then he just, he was just taking him down and beating the s**t out of him."

Further Rogan claimed, "Beating the s**t out of him yelling at him, ‘Let’s talk now let’s talk,’ because there was so much of like trash talk during you know. It was it was a very emotionally charged fight. ”

After viewing Joe Rogan's analysis of Khabib and Conor, numerous individuals flocked to the comment section to share their perspectives.

One fan expressed,  "Khabib lost rounds to Conor and Justin, and arguably lost to Gleison" 

Another highlighted Khabib's achievements, stating,  "Khabib was truly one of the all time greats, he’s in top 5 all time goats in the UFC, so dominant in the octagon."  

A third user exclaimed, "He lost a round against McGregor and he hand a questionable decision win."

The fourth user defended Khabib, asserting, "He also won that round. Rewatch the fight, he hit him with same shots that Connor and also got a takedown (also Connor hit him with illegal shots)" while another praised Khabib, "Khabib never got a blue eye bruise broken nose nothing best mma defence ever"

What did Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor do after their fight?

Following their contentious bout, the lingering animosity between the two fighters has paved the way for divergent paths.

McGregor, who briefly retired after the Nurmagomedov fight, made a comeback by defeating Donald Cerrone but faced consecutive losses to Dustin Poirier in their heated rematches.

He is anticipated to re-enter the octagon in the mid-summer of 2024.

In contrast, Khabib Nurmagomedov defended his title twice post the McGregor fight. He showcased commanding performances against Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje, securing victories via submission in both instances.

Since then, ‘The Eagle’ appears to have retired, leaving the octagon for good with an undefeated record of 29-0.
